In this paper we established model independent bounds on the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments of the tau-lepton using the process \mathbf{\gamma\gamma \to \tau^+\tau^-}𝛄𝛄→𝛕+𝛕−. We use data collected with the future \mathbf{e^+ e^-}𝐞+𝐞− linear collider such as the CLIC at \mathbf{\sqrt{s}}𝐬 = 380, 1500, 3000 GeV, and we consider systematic uncertainties of \mathbf{\delta_{sys}}𝛅𝐬𝐲𝐬 = 0\%%, 3\%%, 5\%%. The theory predictions are a very good prospect for probing the dipole moments of the tau-lepton at the future \mathbf{e^ + e^-}𝐞+𝐞− linear collider at the \mathbf{\gamma\gamma}𝛄𝛄 mode.

The Georgi–Machacek (GM) model predicts the existence of the doubly-charged scalars [Formula: see text], which can be seen the typical particles in this model and their diboson decay channels are one of the most promising ways to discover such new doubly-charged scalars. Based on the constraints of the latest combined ATLAS and CMS Higgs boson diphoton signal strength data at [Formula: see text] confidence level, we focus on the study of the triple scalar production in [Formula: see text] collisions at the future International Linear collider (ILC): [Formula: see text], where the production cross-sections are very sensitive to the triple scalar coupling parameter [Formula: see text]. Considering the typical same-sign diboson decay modes for the doubly-charged scalars, the possible final signals might be detected via this process at the future ILC experiments.

This paper presents the integrated simulation for earthquake hazard and disaster prediction. The earthquake hazard simulation takes advantage of the macro-micro analysis method which estimates strong ground motion with high spatial and temporal resolution. The earthquake disaster simulation calculates seismic responses for all structures in a target area by inputting synthesized strong ground motion to a structure analysis method which is plugged into the system; a suitable analysis method, linear or non-linear, is chosen depending on the type of the structure. The results of all simulations are visualized so that government officials and residents can share common recognition of possible earthquake hazard and disaster. Two examples of this integrated earthquake simulations are presented; one is made by plugging nonlinear structure analysis methods into the system, and the other is made for an actual city, the computer model of which is constructed with the help of available geographical information systems.

AbstractWe study the correlation between the constraints on general two Higgs doublet model from Higgs inflation and from collider experiments. The parameter space receives meaningful constraints from direct searches at the large hadron collider and from flavor physics if $$m_H$$ m H , $$m_A$$ m A , and $$m_{H^\pm }$$ m H ± are in the sub-TeV range, where H, A, and $$H^\pm $$ H ± are the CP even, CP odd, and charged Higgs bosons, respectively. We find that in the parameter region favored by the Higgs inflation, H, A, and $$H^\pm $$ H ± are nearly degenerate in mass. We show that such near degeneracy can be probed directly in the upcoming runs of the Large Hadron Collider, while the future lepton colliders such as the International Linear Collider and the future circular collider would provide complementary probes.
