A three-dimensional (3D) reduced graphene oxide hydrogel (rGOH) was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis based on the electrostatic force and chemical reaction between graphene oxide (GO) and Ni ions in a nickel acetate solution.

A mesoporous ZnCo2O4 nanosheet on a reduced graphene oxide/nickel foam network was employed as a supercapacitor electrode. It shows ultrahigh specific capacitance of 2009 F g−1 at 10 mV s−1 in neutral 0.1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte.
