We develop a simple hydrothermal process followed by post-nitridation treatment for the synthesis of chromium, nitrogen-codoped titanium oxide, which exhibits a remarkable charge–discharge capacity at a rate of 5 C and shows an excellent stability for over 300 cycles as an anode material for lithium ion batteries.
