Waste management has become an issue of increasing concern worldwide. These products are filling landfills and reducing the amount of livable space. Leachate produced from landfills contaminates the surrounding environment. The conventional incineration process releases toxic airborne fumes into the atmosphere. Researchers are working continuously to explore sustainable ways to manage and recycle waste materials. Recycling and reuse are the most efficient methods in waste management. The pavement industry is one promising sector, as different sorts of waste are being recycled into asphalt concrete and bitumen. This paper provides an overview of some promising waste products like high-density polyethylene, marble quarry waste, building demolition waste, ground tire rubber, cooking oil, palm oil fuel ash, coconut, sisal, cellulose and polyester fiber, starch, plastic bottles, waste glass, waste brick, waste ceramic, waste fly ash, and cigarette butts, and their use in asphalt concrete and bitumen. Many experts have investigated these waste materials and tried to find ways to use this waste for asphalt concrete and bitumen. In this paper, the outcomes from some significant research have been analyzed, and the scope for further investigation is discussed.

During the usage and storage agricultural machinery are corrosion fracture. There are many known protective materials to protect against corrosion, which are often expensive. The authors offer a technology of obtaining an anticorrosive material – bituminous composition, that will solve a number of problems: the waste materials recycling and the high cost, lack of protective materials. The bench tests were conducted after determining the optimal content of the bituminous composition. During the year, the known and available protective materials , as well as the newly formed bituminous composition, exposed to atmospheric agents, as provided in the combined storage and in the open air. As a result of a comprehensive evaluation of the protective properties of anti-corrosion materials by method of application on the work surface and the economic feasibility has been proposed a technology of bituminous composition, the protective properties of which were the highest, at the lowest cost .

Recycling can recover the value of solid waste materials. Recycling reduces solid wastes, conserves virgin materials, and preserves and improves environmental quality. Ideally, it has been stated that “what we must aim for essentially is a steady-state world, one in which per capita consumption has virtually leveled off and the goods used are for the most part produced from recycled materials” [6]. Trends in recycling, however, are not encouraging, and, in fact, resource recovery is losing ground [3, 7].Currently, recycling is largely that of relatively homogeneous waste materials. The Council on Environmental Quality has identified over 50 systems in various stages of development aimed primarily at the technology of recovering materials from mixed wastes [7].

Students in sculpture workshop lessons use various materials as allowed by the technical knowledge and pattern within artistic production process. The used materials may be waste materials as well as ready purchased materials. Students contribute to artistic production process, nature and social responsibilities while using waste materials. With this research, 1 year experience of future visual arts instructors regarding waste material use in sculpture workshop lessons and their views regarding this are tried to be determined. It is supposed that the students’ using the waste materials in education and learning process will be effective in enhancing their awareness towards the environment. This is important in terms of their being sensitive to people their environments and making use of the waste materials as well as artistic production. Qualitative research methods are used in the study.  Study groups are used instead of universe and sample for healthy content analysis of interviews. Interviews are analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis. As a result of the study, various codes and themes regarding waste material use by students in sculpture production process are found.Keywords: visual art education, sculpture education, waste materials, recycling
