This paper presents results concerning the global external stochastic stabilization for linear systems with input saturation and stochastic external disturbances under random Gaussian distributed initial conditions. The objective is to construct a class of control laws that achieve global asymptotic stability in the absence of disturbances, while guaranteeing a bounded variance of the state for all the time in the presence of disturbances. By using an alternative approach, a new class of scheduled control laws are proposed, and the global external stochastic stabilization problem can be solved only through some routine manipulations. Furthermore, the reported approach allows a larger range of the design parameter. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to validate the theoretical results.

Designing robust active queue management subjected to network imperfections is a challenging problem. Motivated by this topic, we addressed the problem of controller design for linear systems with variable delay and unsymmetrical constraints by the scaled small gain theorem. We designed two mechanisms: robust enhanced proportional derivative; and robust enhanced proportional derivative subjected to input saturation. Discussion of their practical implementations along with extensive comparisons by MATLAB and NS3 illustrate the improved performance and the enlargement of the domain of attraction regarding some literature results.

The semi-global output regulation problem of multi-variable discrete-time singular linear systems with input saturation is investigated in this paper. A composite nonlinear feedback control law is constructed by using a low gain feedback technique for semi-global stabilisation of discrete-time singular linear systems with input saturation. The sufficient solvability conditions of the semi-global output regulation problem by composite nonlinear feedback control are established. When the composite nonlinear feedback control law is reduced to a linear control law, the solvability conditions are an exact discrete-time counterpart of the semi-global output regulation problem of continuous-time singular linear systems. With the extra control freedom of the nonlinear part in the composite nonlinear feedback control law, the transient performance of the closed-loop system can be improved by carefully choosing the linear feedback gain and the nonlinear feedback gain. The design procedure of the composite nonlinear feedback control law and the improvement of the transient performance are illustrated by a numerical example.
