Ontario schools have been criticized for maintaining inequitable practices and environments. To combat this inequity, the Ontario Ministry of Education created the PPM No.119: Developing and Implementing Equity and Inclusive Education Policies in Ontario Schools (Ontario Ministry of Education, 2009). In this study, I undertake a content analysis of the policy focusing on the words ‘race’ and ‘parents’ in order to explore whether or not racialized children and families, specifically the Black community, may benefit from this policy. Critical Race Theory and a parent engagement framework guided my analysis. The results indicated that this policy may actually exclude students and families, particularly Black students and families, as opposed to creating more equitable and inclusive opportunities. Recommendations are made for promoting anti-racist practices by early childhood educators and teachers and working toward ensuring the accountability of administrators.

The Division for Early Childhood (DEC) clearly outlined recommended practices for the provision of Part C services. However, there may be challenges in rural areas associated with services aligning with these recommended practices. Therefore, this study focuses on how families experience Part C services and the extent to which services align with specific areas the DEC recommended practices in the large, rural state of Montana. We interviewed parents ( N = 30) about their children’s Part C services. Deductive qualitative content analysis was used. Parents’ reports suggest that while some aspects of their Part C services align with specific recommended practices, others do not. There were some meaningful differences regarding alignment with these recommended practices depending on type of provider being described. The environments in which services take place are discussed, as these may influence aspects of collaboration and building family capacity.

This article explores the rhetoric of Yuliana in describing the difficulties of parents, teachers, and school administration during covid-19 health crisis. This study is guided by content analysis and the analytical framework of Appraisal from systemic functional linguistics, which concerned with the language of evaluation. The study reveals that in order to show the problematic matters of poor early students, their parents, the teachers, and the owner of a daycare center, Yuliana utilizes the appraisal system in a variety ways, with the aim to show some alternative solutions to the owners of the schools and the governments as to invest more because of the importance of early education for young generations for the future.

This study examines the way in which Early Childhood Educators trained in Ontario college programs are prepared to work with queer populations upon entering the field. This study used post-structuralist, queer feminist, and critical disability theoretical frameworks while analysing the data. A content analysis, informed by critical discourse analysis, was used to assess program documents. Course descriptions from ECE program websites were collected, as well as a total of 33 course outlines from 11 different Ontario college ECE programs, and 9 textbooks identified through the course outlines. Queer content was found to be absent from all but 5 course outlines and 4 textbooks. Background: Current research on early childhood education (ECE) leadership as well as on policy reform in Finland suggests that pedagogical leadership must be considered as a purposeful and planned process. Pedagogical leadership plans play a key role in the purposeful and effective enactment of pedagogical leadership in ECE settings.Aim: This study aimed at examining the contents of pedagogical leadership plans drawn up in Finnish ECE centres to interpret the perceptions of the centre directors on the implementation of pedagogical leadership in their settings.Setting: This study examines pedagogical leadership plans in ECE settings in Finland.Methods: We used inductive content analysis to examine documents drawn up by nine ECE centre directors as pedagogical leadership plans for their centres. Our analysis identified four main categories that describe how the ECE centre directors conceive the enactment of pedagogical leadership.Results: The findings revealed that the focus of the plans was on leading pedagogical issues and processes within the ECE centres. Creating structures for pedagogical development and reflection were emphasised in the plans. The plans reflected a distributed leadership approach.Conclusion: The findings of the study provide information about how the ECE directors intend to enact pedagogical leadership and assist ECE leaders to develop leadership planning in their work settings. In this way, the study contributes to leadership development within the ECE sector.

Basically, effective moral education which concerns with affective aspect can prevent the immoral culture that occur around the community. The Education implemented in domiciliary, school, and society can influence and form one’s morality. The immoral culture, nowadays, that has spreaded in young generation, reflects to people’s live. The parents, the expert of education and those who concern with religion and social skill, lately, are confused with teenagers’ behaviour. They are uncontrollable, naughty, stubborn, trouble maker, immoral, brawls, drug, even piracy, rape, murder, and other abandoned acts. These problems need to be solved immediately. While theoritical moral education is not enough  to overcome these such actions, but the teenagers require model as sample in their real life. This research in the form of content analysis is a series of activities relating to library data collection methods. A series of activities relating to the method of collecting library data, reading and recording and processing research materials. Data analysis in this study was carried out through a process of systematically searching and compiling data obtained. It reflects moral education is very crucial to be encouraged especially for early childhood
