A continuous integration system is crucial to maintain the quality of the 6 millions lines of C++ and Python source code of the LHCb software in order to ensure consistent builds of the software as well as to run the unit and integration tests. Jenkins automation server is used for this purpose. It builds and tests around 100 configurations and produces in the order of 1500 built artifacts per day which are installed on the CVMFS file system or potentially on the developers’ machines. Faced with a large and growing number of configurations built every day, and in order to ease inter-operation between the continuous integration system and the developers, we decided to put in place a flexible messaging system. As soon as the built artifacts have been produced, the distributed system allows their deployment based on the priority of the configurations. We will describe the architecture of the new system, which is based on RabbitMQ messaging system (and the pika Python client library), and uses priority queues to start the LHCb software integration tests and to drive the installation of the nightly builds on the CVMFS file system. We will also show how the introduction of an event based system can help with the communication of results to developers.

<p>The Central American Strategy for Rural Territorial Development is a regional policy regarding the rural territorial development of the Central American Integration System. A group of stakeholders was interviewed in order to analyze whether its different stages have characteristics that support the implementation and achievement of its desired goals. The results indicate that the design of this policy shows positive characteristics regarding the participatory process that involves the major stakeholders. However, the situation is worse regarding the implementation, primarily because of its weak ties to integrate system institutions, lack of funding, and the low involvement of national governments.</p>

During locomotion, mammals update their position with respect to a fixed point of reference, such as their point of departure, by processing inertial cues, proprioceptive feedback and stored motor commands generated during locomotion. This so-called path integration system (dead reckoning) allows the animal to return to its home, or to a familiar feeding place, even when external cues are absent or novel. However, without the use of external cues, the path integration process leads to rapid accumulation of errors involving both the direction and distance of the goal. Therefore, even nocturnal species such as hamsters and mice rely more on previously learned visual references than on the path integration system when the two types of information are in conflict. Recent studies investigate the extent to which path integration and familiar visual cues cooperate to optimize the navigational performance.
