Photoproduction of vector mesons off nuclei were performed at Jefferson Lab using the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS). The properties of the ρ vector mesons were investigated via their rare leptonic decay to e+e−. After subtracting the combinatorial background, the ρ meson mass distributions were extracted for each of the targets. We observe no effects on the mass of the ρ meson, some widening in titanium and iron is observed consistent with the collisional broadening.

In the model III 2HDM there are new CP violating phases which would affect the [Formula: see text] mixing. In this paper, we calculate the new physics contributions to the neutral B meson mass splitting ΔMBq (q=d,s) at the next-to-leading order (NLO) level. Using the high accuracy data and other relevant data, we draw the constraints on the parameter space of the model III 2HDM. Moreover, we calculate the new physics corrections to the ratio q/p. It is found that the phase of (q/p)n for Bd which is due to the new contributions is very small and consequently in agreement with the measurements of the time dependent CP asymmetry SJ/ψK in B→J/ψKS. On the contrary, the phase of (q/p)n for Bs is large enough to give significant effects on CP violation in the neutral Bs system.

Using the AdS/CFT correspondence, we investigate a nucleon mass splitting and pion–nucleon coupling in the isospin medium. We find that there exists a nucleon mass splitting which is exactly given by the half of the meson mass splitting because nucleon has the half isospin charge of the charged mesons. In addition, we also investigate the pion–nucleon and four pion interactions which requires the modification of the known Abelian-type unitary gauge fixing because of the non-Abelian structure of the isospin medium. After finding the non-Abelian unitary gauge fixing, we find that in the isospin medium the couplings only for π0 π0 π+ π- and π0 π0π0 π0 of four pion interactions shift, while there is no pion–nucleon coupling splitting in spite of the nucleon's and meson's mass splittings.
