We prove the existence and stability of non-topological solitons in a class of weakly coupled non-linear Klein–Gordon–Maxwell equations. These equations arise from coupling non-linear Klein–Gordon equations to Maxwell's equations for electromagnetism.

We consider a model for an N × N lattice network of weakly coupled neural oscilla- tors with periodic boundary conditions (2D square torus), where the coupling between neurons is assumed to be within a von Neumann neighborhood of size r, denoted as von Neumann r-neighborhood. Using the phase model reduction technique, we study the existence of cluster solutions with constant phase differences (Ψh, Ψv) between adjacent oscillators along the horizontal and vertical directions in our network, where Ψh and Ψv are not necessarily to be identical. Applying the Kronecker production representation and the circulant matrix theory, we develop a novel approach to analyze the stability of cluster solutions with constant phase difference (i.e., Ψh,Ψv are equal). We begin our analysis by deriving the precise conditions for stability of such cluster solutions with von Neumann 1-neighborhood and 2 neighborhood couplings, and then we generalize our result to von Neumann r-neighborhood coupling for arbitrary neighborhood size r ≥ 1. This developed approach for the stability analysis indeed can be extended to an arbitrary coupling in our network. Finally, numerical simulations are used to validate the above analytical results for various values of N and r by considering an inhibitory network of Morris-Lecar neurons.

Images of <11> oriented crystals with diamond structure (i.e. C,Si,Ge) are dominated by white spot contrast which, depending on thickness and defocus, can correspond to either atom-pair columns or tunnel sites. Olsen and Spence have demonstrated a method for identifying the correspondence which involves the assumed structure of a stacking fault and the preservation of point-group symmetries by correctly aligned and stigmated images. For an intrinsic stacking fault, a two-fold axis lies on a row of atoms (not tunnels) and the contrast (black/white) of the atoms is that of the {111} fringe containing the two-fold axis. The breakdown of Friedel's law renders this technique unsuitable for the related, but non-centrosymmetric binary compound sphalerite materials (e.g. GaAs, InP, CdTe). Under dynamical scattering conditions, Bijvoet related reflections (e.g. (111)/(111)) rapidly acquire relative phase differences deviating markedly from thin-crystal (kinematic) values, which alter the apparent location of the symmetry elements needed to identify the defect.

Las TIC median las interacciones y la comunicación de los estudiantes a diario. Se conciben como mediado-ras de la reflexión y la autorregulación de la actividad del estudiante, resultante de la interacción consciente de la percepción que tiene el estudiante sobre si con la que negocia con el resto de los estudiantes, los ase-sores y la sociedad en general. En este contexto el aprovechamiento de las TIC debe promover una influen-cia formativa en los espacios formales y no formales. Las condicionantes de complementariedad de espa-cios y de unidad en la diversidad de recursos tecnológicos y didácticos deben guiar la actividad que tenga al estudiante como centro de la misma.Ya no se trata de integrar las TIC en el proceso de formación, haciéndolo formal y estandarizado. El reto está en que sean las características personales de los estudiantes, sus estilos de aprendizaje, sus conoci-mientos y experiencias previas, y sus esquemas afectivos los que marquen el aprovechamiento de las TIC en la evaluación del aprendizaje autónomo de inglés.En el presente trabajo se estructura el aprovechamiento de las TIC mediante un EPA base para la evalua-ción del aprendizaje autónomo de inglés. El EPA base constituye un andamiaje de personas, procedimien-tos, espacios de interacción, y de recursos tecnológicos y didácticos. Los componentes que lo conforman se encuentran débilmente acoplados por la tecnología y altamente cohesionados por la significatividad de las conexiones que el estudiante establece entre ellos. Palabras Clave: Aprendizaje, Autonomía, Entorno, Evaluación, Personal. ABSTRACT There is no doubt about the key role of ICT in the interaction and communication processes among students. ICT are thought as a mean for the reflection and self-regulation of students´ activity, which is in a permanent conscientious comparison between the perception a student has about him/herself and the one he/she nego-tiates with the rest of students, advisors and society in general terms. In this context, ICT should promote a positive influence on student formation in formal and non-formal spaces. The conditionals related to spaces combined support and union in the diversity of technological and didactical resources should guide every activity having students at the center of its conception.It is no longer about integrating ICT to the formation process making it formal and standardized. The chal-lenge on autonomous language learning evaluation with ICT has to do with making the differences through personal characteristics of students, their learning styles, previous experiences and affective schemas.In this paper the use of ICT is structured by means of a PLE frame for the evaluation of English autonomous language learning. It is a scaffolding of people, procedures, interaction spaces, and technological and didac-tical resources. <p>Here we investigate for the first time the opto-thermal behavior of SiO<sub>2</sub>/Si core/shell microbeads (Si-rex) irradiated with three common Raman laser sources (lambda=532, 633, 785 nm) under real working conditions. We obtained an experimental proof of the critical role played by bead size and aggregation in heat and light management, demonstrating that in the case of strong opto-thermal coupling the temperature can exceed that of the melting points of both core and shell components. In addition, we also show that weakly coupled beads can be utilized as stable substrates for plasmon-free SERS experiments.</p>

Consideration has been given to orbit transfers involving spacecraft rendezvous which belong to a class of coplanar non-intersecting near-circular orbits of a spacecraft and a space station. The duration of the transfer is assumed to be limited by one orbit. The feasibility of a rendezvous using an optimal two-burn orbit-to-orbit transfer is studied. To determine a single free parameter of the transfer, i.e. the time of its start, ensuring a rendezvous at a given time or at a given velocity at the end of transfer, appropriate equations have been obtained To implement in the guidance algorithms optimal three-burn correction programs are proposed to achieve a rendezvous at a given time with a specified relative velocity at the moment of spacecraft contact. A range of phase differences at the start of maneuvering is determined, within which the characteristic velocity of the rendezvous is equal to the minimum characteristic velocity of the orbit-to-orbit transfer. The paper presents simulation results for “quick" rendezvous profiles that use the proposed programs. Key words: spacecraft, orbital station, “quick” rendezvous, orbit transfer, rendezvous program.
