Globalization has created an accelerated demand for globally competent managers, yet the gap between this demand and the supply of globally oriented, competent graduates is growing. As a result, the mandate for effectively internationalizing business school curriculum is increasing. Yet, given the costly structures required to provide international education opportunities, institutions need to know that those opportunities are positively influencing students learning and skill development. This article tells the story of one school’s comprehensive program that incorporates learner-centered measurement and development with institutional assessment of intercultural effectiveness. We offer a program model and lessons learned for other institutions interested in implementing similar programs.

Comprehensive institutional assessment tool helps to appraise performance of an organization and adopt appropriate strategies for enhancing performance. Different organizations demand different indicators and standards for appraising performance. Different tools such as PEARLS and CAMEL have been prescribed measure performance of financial institutions. These tools were developed in different contexts and are not adopted in Nepali cooperative sector. The objective of this paper is to identify and recommend different indicators for measuring performance of financial cooperatives in Nepal. Expert interviews and focus group discussions were applied to explore the indicators for performance assessment. The identified indicators were piloted with randomly selected 210 cooperatives. The findings showed that 32 financial ratios under eight performance measurement dimensions and 25 self-governance related indicators are needed to assess the performance of financial cooperatives in Nepal and elsewhere. Implications of the findings are discussed and limitations of the study are highlighted,

<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Neste artigo, analisamos a autoavaliação institucional que integra o Sistema de Avaliação da Educação de Niterói (Saen), estado do Rio de Janeiro. O objetivo é discutir seu processo de constituição num contexto de centralidade das políticas de avaliação, defendendo essa como possibilidade de produção de políticas pelas escolas, como produção de sentidos de avaliação para além da lógica de accountability, colocando outros sentidos de qualidade em disputa. A partir de aportes pós-estruturais, assumimos o entendimento da política como luta pela significação, que se dá entre tensões, negociações, traduções. The aim is to discuss its constitution process in a context of centrality of evaluation policies, supporting it as a possibility for the schools to produce policies as production of meanings of evaluation beyond the logic of accountability, putting other meanings of quality in dispute. From post-structural contributions, we assume the understanding of the policies as the struggle for meaning, which occurs between tensions, negotiations, and translations. <p>Este artigo pretende analisar a articulação entre avaliação institucional (AVI) e projeto político-pedagógico (PPP), a partir de projeto realizado em um município brasileiro, onde uma amostra de escolas desenvolveu um processo de avaliação institucional com vistas a reelaborar seu PPP. Buscou-se analisar se e como as escolas utilizaram os dados provenientes dessa avaliação para reformular seus projetos pedagógicos. It involved a sample of schools that developed a process for institutional assessment, in order to re-shape their PPP. We sought to examine whether and how these schools used the data from this assessment to reformulate their pedagogic projects. The text brings a reflection about the principles that guide and surpass the two processes.
