In the work collecting possibility of xanthate derivative forms being active to boundary “gas-liquid” is studied. Influence of continuance of colloid aging, represented with products of non-stoichiometric interaction of butyl xanthates with metal salts, on spreading rate on water surface is considered. It is shown that increasing of aging time of xanthate derivative forms has caused to reduction of its spreading rate on water surface. Statement about reduction of removing rate of liquid from the layer with increasing of aging time of xanthate derivative forms on mineral particle is made based on proposal that main kinetic limitation to forming of flotation complex is water layer located between the mineral particle and gas bubble. Flotation experiments to study influence of continuance of colloid aging “xanthate of metal – ion of xanthate” on parameters of flotation beneficiation are carried out. It is experimentally proved that increasing of aging of the colloid used as flotation reagent reduces its collecting possibility. Therefore, correlation of spreading rate of collector derivative forms with parameters of flotation beneficiation is established.

It is known that oxide minerals of useful components are presented by complex oxidized forms and are not practically floatable. The paper gives the opportunity for complex oxide lead-zinc ore to be prepared effectively to flotation beneficiation based on pyrosulphidization of oxide minerals while roasting. The process of roasting is held in the atmosphere of overheated steam using sub-quality pyrite concentrates as sulphidizer. Using such pyrite concentrates make it possible to solve the problem of utilization and treatment of pyrite concentrates.

The article presents the results of the development of a method-ological approach to the analysis of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for improving the efficiency of flotation processing of polymetallic raw materials.The kinetic dependences of flotation, the hydrophobizing ability of butyl potassium xanthogenate, and the effect of reagents on preliminary mechanical activation were studied, and flotation modeling with and with-out an oxidizer was performed. The best results of convergence with the kinetic dependences of flotation are shown by the Beloglazov equation, the Kelsall and the modified Kelsall models. Technological indicators of sul-fide flotation in the presence of oxidants are higher, which can be ex-plained by the intensive oxidation of the formed transient ions on the sur-face of minerals, which contributes to the alignment of the flotation properties of the surface.It is possible to integrate the proposed research methods into technological schemes in order to optimize technological in-dicators and increase profits.

The flotation beneficiation of powellite from dolomite was achieved with a new reagent system that consists of a mixed collector of sodium oleate (NaOl) and benzohydroxamic acid (BHA) and a depressant sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP). The interaction mechanism of the reagent regime with minerals was studied using zeta potential and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) detection together with crystal chemistry and interaction energy analysis. The matching features of O–O distance in BHA with that in saline minerals and active site density/activity were used as methods to explain the reagent/mineral interaction. The results of microflotation finally established the new reagent regime at pH 8–12: 2.5 × 10−4 M SHMP, 2 × 10−4 M mixed collector containing 1.5 × 10−4 M NaOl and 0.5 × 10−4 M BHA. SHMP selectively depresses the adsorption of NaOl and BHA onto dolomite but minimally affects the adsorption of NaOl and BHA on the powellite surface.
