To identify rolling bearing faults under variable load conditions, a method named DISA-KNN is proposed in this paper, which is based on the strategy of feature extraction-domain adaptation-classification. To be specific, the time-domain and frequency-domain indicators are used for feature extraction. Discriminative and domain invariant subspace alignment (DISA) is used to minimize the data distributions’ discrepancies between the training data (source domain) and testing data (target domain). K-nearest neighbor (KNN) is applied to identify rolling bearing faults. DISA-KNN’s validation is proved by the experimental signal collected under different load conditions. The identification accuracies obtained by the DISA-KNN method are more than 90% on four datasets, including one dataset with 99.5% accuracy. The strength of the proposed method is further highlighted by comparisons with the other 8 methods. These results reveal that the proposed method is promising for the rolling bearing fault diagnosis in real rotating machinery.

INHALT Die Notwendigkeit für Verzahnungskorrekturen im Hinblick auf die Flankentragfähigkeit ergibt sich in Leistungsgetrieben maßgeblich aus den lastbedingten Verformungen der umliegenden Bauteile sowie der Zahn- und Radkörperverformung selbst. Unter Lastkollektivbelastung sind auch diese Verformungen im Betrieb nicht konstant. In dieser Veröffentlichung wird ein Verfahren gezeigt, mit dem eine Flankenkorrektur ermittelt werden kann, die hinsichtlich der Flankentragfähigkeit unter Lastkollektivbelastung optimiert ist. Die gezeigte Methode wurde im Rahmen des FVA- Vorhabens 722/I entwickelt. Die Ergebnisse der Korrektur- bestimmung wurden anhand von Industriebeispielen validiert und weisen eine hohe Übereinstimmung mit den in der Praxis auf Basis von Erfahrungswissen ausgeführten Zahnflanken-korrekturen auf.   A Method to Determine Toothing Corrections under Variable Load Conditions

Fault identification under variable operating conditions is a task of great importance and challenge for equipment health management. However, when dealing with this kind of issue, traditional fault diagnosis methods based on the assumption of the distribution coherence of the training and testing set are no longer applicable. In this paper, a novel state identification method integrated by time-frequency decomposition, multi-information entropies, and joint distribution adaptation is proposed for rolling element bearings. At first, fast ensemble empirical mode decomposition was employed to decompose the vibration signals into a collection of intrinsic mode functions, aiming at obtaining the multiscale description of the original signals. Then, hybrid entropy features that can characterize the dynamic and complexity of time series in the local space, global space, and frequency domain were extracted from each intrinsic mode function. As for the training and testing set under different load conditions, all data was mapped into a reproducing space by joint distribution adaptation to reduce the distribution discrepancies between datasets, where the pseudolabels of the testing set and the final diagnostic results were obtained by the k-nearest neighbor algorithm. Finally, five cases with the training and testing set under variable load conditions were used to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method, and comparisons with some other diagnosis models combined with the same features and other dimensionality reduction methods were also discussed. The analysis results show that the proposed method can effectively recognize the multifaults of rolling element bearings under variable load conditions with higher accuracies and has sound practicability.

The problem of the elastic vibration control for a translational flexible manipulator system (TFMS) under variable load conditions is studied. The input shaper can effectively filter out the vibration excitation components for the flexible manipulator in the driving signals, but the adaptability and rapidity of the conventional input shaper are poor because it is essentially an open-loop control mode and there are time-lag links inevitably. Thus, by combining the state feedback with the input shaping, a master-slave integrated controller of the TFMS is proposed. Moreover, in order to solve the time-lag effect of the conventional input shaper, based on the optimal algorithm, a two-mode vibration cascade shaper for the TFMS is designed. Then, under variable load conditions, the control effects of the conventional input shapers, the two-mode vibration cascade shaper, and the combination of the state feedback integral controller (SFIC) with the above shapers are investigated. The results show that the designed master-slave integrated controller has high robustness under variable load conditions and takes good account of the requirements of system response time and overshoot for achieving the goal of nonovershoot under fast response speed. Simulation experiment results verify the effectiveness of the designed controller.
