Precise measurements on the specific conductivity of cationic surfactant (Dodecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide) and anionic surfactant (Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate) in methanol water mixed solvent media containing 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 volume fractions of methanol are reported at 308.15 K. Specific conductivities of Dodecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate increase with increase in concentration and decrease with increase in the volume fractions of methanol.  Critical micelle concentration (cmc) increases with increase in volume fraction of methanol in case of both surfactants. Free energy of micellization (ΔGºm) has been calculated. In order to avoid using P2O5 as phosphorylation reagent in phosphorylation reaction, an amphoteric phosphate ester surfactant was synthesized by using polyphosphate acid as phosphorylation reagent. The phosphorylation reaction studies confirmed the best condition was molar ratio of hydroxyl and P2O5 of 3.0:1.0, reaction temperature of 80°C and reaction time of 5.5h. The content of monoalkyl phosphate (MAP) and the conversion rate reached to 89.3% and 97.2%, respectively. The production of MAP product was increased by 15% than that of obtained by P2O5 as phosphorylation reagent. The structure of the phosphate ester surfactant was characterized by FTIR. The surface tension of phosphate ester surfactant was better than that of dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide and sodium dodecyl sulfate. The application results indicated the leather oiled by the amphoteric phosphate surfactant was softer and than that treated by L-3 fatliquor.

<em>Bahan<strong> </strong>baku untuk membuat baso adalah daging hewan, pada umumnya dari daging sapi, ayam, ikan dan babi. Di beberapa daerah di Indonesia terjadi kasus baso tikus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji ada tidaknya kandungan daging tikus pada produk baso yang dijual di pasar Cempaka Putih-Kecamatan Kramat Jakarta Pusat dan di pedagang baso atau mie baso di sekitar kampus Universitas YARSI Jakarta. Daging adalah protein salah satu metode untuk mengidentifikasi protein adalah metode Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE).<strong> </strong>Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 6 sampel baso terindikasi ada 2 sampel baso dengan nomor 1 dan 5 yang dibuat dari campuran daging sapi dan tikus; ada 1 sampel baso dengan nomor 6 yang terbuat dari daging tikus; dan 2 sampel baso dengan nomor 2 dan 3 yang terbuat dari campuran sapi  dan babi, dan hanya 1 sampel baso dengan nomor sampel 4 yang benar-benar terbuat dari daging sapi.</em>

The influences of dispersant type, supersonic time and concentration on the dispersion property of the nano-aluminium powders in glycol water were systematically studied by using Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS),cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium hexa metah posphate(SHMP)as dispersants. During the first stage of the experiments, influences of dispersant type and ultrasonic time with these dispersants were evaluated. The next stage of the study was focused on SHMP concentration. The influence of SHMP concentration was assessed. The results show that with the increasing of ultrasonic time, the dispersion property of nano-aluminum powders first increases and then decreases, and SHMP is the best one. The excellent dispersing condition on the dispersion property of nano-aluminium is: 5g/L SHMP and 50 min ultrasonic vibration.
