By using image processing and automatic control technologies, this study designs an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) that can be operated by various control devices, such as laptops and joysticks. A camera is set up on the UGV to capture the sight around it, and then can send the video to the back end system in a wireless manner. Besides, we design an attacking system that allows users to do the zeroing correction for shooting the target precisely. Moreover, a shooting training system is designed to improve the convenience for target practice. It not only can send the result to the back end system immediately but also can simulate the enemy movement to make the training more reality.

The paper analyzes variations in the temperature of axle-box heating of railroad rolling stock considering two modes of the train - driving and parking position. Additionally, the article describes the influence of the axle load and season on the heat of the axle-box, forecasts intolerable residual resources and explains a possibility of detecting likely breakage at the very beginning of defects. The paper also deals with scientific literature related to axle-box heating and focuses on the conducted practical and theoretical experiments. The carried out research has established the rates of operating heating and critical heating. The application of numerical values for the algorithm of automatic control devices could help with detecting the breakdowns of the axle-box before they reach a critical state and assist in forecasting residual operating resources.

In this paper are discussed those characteristics of boiler design and performance which have favoured the parallel development of automatic control of boiler auxiliaries. Consideration is given to those temporary conditions which arise during periods of load change, and which, if not accurately estimated and followed by the necessary corrective action, may lead to over-regulation of firing rate or feed-water supply. Instruments are provided to determine and inform the operator of the necessary action to be taken, and manual remote-control eliminates the laborious duties of routine readjustments necessary to maintain efficiency. In this field automatic control has many advantages and is quicker and more accurate in response than the human operator. The theory of elementary forms of automatic control devices is dealt with simply, and the mechanical means, employing pneumatically operated devices, by which these theoretical requirements are met are described. Examples are given of the use of standard apparatus in building up a composite control system, and the more complicated installations of boilers fired by spreader stokers, pulverized fuel and cyclone furnaces are dealt with.

The problem of limited practical application of methods and devices for automatic control of the moisture content of products of the agro-industrial complex has been studied. Determination of moisture content of products of the agro-industrial complex by thermogravimetric method is considered. The efficiency of weighing and sampling by accelerated and arbitration methods is analyzed. The errors in determining the moisture content of products by the thermogravimetric method are estimated. It was found that the error of the accelerated method is several times higher than the error of the arbitration method. The need to improve the existing thermogravimetric method for determining moisture content, both in terms of rapidity and accuracy, is noted. The importance of choosing the optimal number of determined parameters of the research object, which ensures the maximum measurement accuracy, is shown. Based on the analysis and assessment of the accuracy of the thermogravimetric method for measuring humidity, the main requirements for the design of humidity control devices are formulated.

This paper surveys the present methods of pilotage and berthing, discusses some of the statistics of collision and grounding in confined waters, and suggests the development of shipborne automatic control devices to be used for the pilotage and berthing of large vessels. The proposed system, with its associated shore-based equipment, would carry out a similar function to the automatic landing devices fitted in aircraft, and would be part of an overall marine traffic control system. This system would enable large ships to be berthed automatically in reduced visibility and improve the safety of the movement of large ships in congested waters. The author lectures in the Department of Marine Electronics at Southampton College of Technology.

Asynchronous motors require its study not only in stationary modes, but also in dynamic ones. At the same time, this makes it possible to formulate the corresponding requirements for automatic control devices of a regulated IM, the implementation of which will ensure the optimal course of transient processes in the electric drive system; it requires its study not only in stationary modes, but also in dynamic ones. This simultaneously makes it possible to formulate the corresponding requirements for automatic control devices of variable IM, the implementation of which will ensure the optimal course of transient processes in the electric drive system The study of electromechanical transient modes requires a joint consideration and solution of the equations of equilibrium of electrical quantities in the windings of the machine and the equations of motion of an electric drive.
