Objective.Determine the analytical dependence of the profile of granular materials moving on the tray-distributor of the cone-free loading device on the length coordinate. Method. Kinematic and geometrical regularities of movement of charge materials on the distributive body of the cone - free loading device of tray type are considered. It is shown that the dynamics of the flow of charge materials is significantly influenced by such factors as the value of the average particle diameter of the loaded material, physical and mechanical characteristics of the charge, its flow rate, angular velocity of the distributor tray and its angle. Results. The analysis of the obtained results makes it possible to calculate with sufficient accuracy the rate of charge rise from the tray-distributor in the furnace space of the blast furnace. This makes it possible to calculate the trajectory of the charge flow in the furnace space and to obtain the coordinate of the intersection of the trajectory with the surface of the charge backfill on the blast furnace grate. The obtained equation of the profile of the movement of charge materials on the tray-distributor makes it possible to recommend the position of the tray when loading the blast furnace, which prevents the transfer of the charge through the edge of the tray. Scientific novelty. A new method for solving the Cauchy problem for a differential equation describing the flow of a charge through a distributor tray is proposed. It is established that the change in the flow rate of charge materials passing through the tray-distributor significantly affects the configuration of the surface of the charge on the tray, and this, in turn, causes a change in the rate of flow into the furnace space. Studies have shown that the motion parameters are significantly affected by the initial height of the charge materials on the tray. Practical significance. The obtained results allow analytical calculation of the change in the dynamics of the charge movement under the condition of a constant angle of inclination of the tray of the loading device of the blast furnace. This makes it possible to expand the possibilities of automatic correction of the gas dynamics of the blast furnace zone in specific charge conditions.

Under conditions of unstable supply of quality charge materials and technological fuel, the elaboration of new effective means of blast furnace heat control becomes actual for reaching acceptable technical and economic indices of its operation. Results of the studies carried out at the BF No. 3 of Enakievo steel-works (EMZ, Ukraine) during the period from October 2011 until December 2016 presented. During the period, various fuel additives to the blast were used within a wide range of their variation, and composition of charge materials was characterized by numerous components and variable quality. In the charge content, various additives were used: iron ore, limestone, BOF slag, briquettes of pellets siftings, manganese-containing additives. The new approach to the selection of rational charging programs was justified, providing stable economic BF running under variation of heat technological conditions. For the first time the temperature indices of estimation of gas stream distribution along the furnace radius were elaborated, the rational ranges of their variation at the operation under various gas-dynamic and fuel conditions determined, requirements to the gas stream temperature distribution along the furnace radius formulated. Based on analysis of information about lining temperature along the furnace height over the five year of EMZ BF No. 3 running, its values were ascertained, showing the partial or complete lining wear in the middle and upper part of the shaft. For the lining of the furnace bottom and other parts the temperature was ascertained, showing the formation in the lower zone unstable protective scull, as well the temperature characterizing its complete absence. The influence of blast mode during addition into it an increased volume of steam, natural gas and pulverized coal on variation of distribution of peripheral gas stream temperature along the furnace height from the tuyere zone to the top studied. It became a reason for an elaboration a method of the identification of the viscous-plastic state zone border in the peripheral zone of the furnace. Regulations of the blowing-in of blast furnaces after a long time stoppage without tapping the emergency hot metal elaborated. The technology of usage manganese-containing materials in the BF charge adjusted, which demonstrated the most effective washing out of the hearth under conditions of low and unstable charge materials quality and pulverized coal injection.

The analysis of various options for the use of alumina production wastes (red mud) and oiled scale using various methods of agglomeration to produce conditioned commercial iron is presented. Co-processing utilization of red mud and oiled scale allows to obtain raw materials with an iron content of more than 50%, which meets the modern requirements for charge materials for use in the blast furnace process. The calculation analysis carried out using a mathematical model of blast furnace process, allowed to determine the optimal proportion of the iron-containing material for the partial replacement of charge materials without reducing the technical and economic indicators of blast furnace smelting. In various industries, the uneven distribution of material and  energy resources significantly affects stability of the technological  process and reduces the quality of products. In particular, in the blastfurnace production, the uneven distribution of charge materials and  the temperature of gases significantly affect technical and economic  performance of the furnace. The analysis of bibliographic sources  has shown that for the estimation of unevenness various coefficients  were generally used, taking into account the variability of material and  ener gy resources in the production process, the coefficient of variation  introduced by K. Pierson in 1895 was the most widespread. It was determined the relation between the square of the coefficient of variation of V2 and the value  X2= (n(N-1))/N*V2according to which the random  variable V2 has  X2k a distribution with k degrees of freedom, k  =  N  –  1,  where n  =  n1 + n2 + … + nN, ni is the value of the i-th measurement,  i = 1, N – is the number of measurements. The proposed method  for estimating the unevenness is based on statistics  X2k,  and X2also  introduced by K. Pearson in 1901 and 1904, respectively. The latter  was intended to test the H0-correspondence of the empirical and statistical distribution. The method for determining the circumferential  irregularity in the distribution of materials and gases in a blast furnace  is based on the consistency of X2k and X2 of Pearson statistics, using  the so-called quantile factor q, if in calculations of X2 the valu es   of the ,physical quantities themselves are used, by analogy, not the frequency  of the measured quantities. In this method, X2-statistic after correction  was used to determine the measure of deviation  (p) from the uniform  distribution, i.e. the unevenness coefficientp = p(X2/k), p  є  (0; 1 – α),   X2k =  X2max= qX2 was calculated. In order to reconcile X2 and  X2k statistics with the measurements of the physical quantities (temperature,  pressure) or materials (granular, gaseous), the X2-statistic must be adjusted so that  qX2max≈ X2k(α), X2max с(X21,..., Х2M )where M – is the  number of experiments for which the values   of X2-statics were determined,  X2k(α) – the upper α-quantile of  X2k statistic, q – the quantile multiplier, introduced for the correction of the X2-statistic values,  X2max–  the maximum value of X2-statistic is admissible for determining the  measure of non-uniformity.The method was tested to evaluate the relative non-uniformity of the loaded charge components and the distribution of peripheral temperature at blast furnaces of OJSC “MMK” with  volume of 2014 and 1370 m3. The influence of the sequence of a set of  charge components in the hopper of a bell-less charging device of the  furnace on the coefficient of circumferential unevenness (p) and the  technical and economic parameters of melting was revealed.
