The numerical model of top coal drawing in gently inclined seam is built based on PFC2d software. By comparing with the theory of drawn-body movement law, it can be obtained that the shape of top coal drawn-body accords with the theory of random medium movement. The research results show that the form of the shape equation of top coal drawn-body is uniform while the top coal caving angle is different. On the other hand, with the difference of top coal caving angle and drawing height, the shape of top coal drawn-body is differential at the meso scale, which depends on the parameters of the shape equation of top coal drawn-body.

High-resolution simulations of the atmospheric and oceanic general circulations on the Earth Simulator are briefly introduced to a wider research and educational community. Some early results have been published and are reviewed in this article. The high-resolution simulations may have more information in certain aspects than observations while the simulations need to be validated. On the other hand, high-resolution observations in which uncertainties are unavoidable are now available. Possible close collaboration between observational and simulation research is proposed.

In the text through analyzing the maintenance and support system of surface-to-air missile equipment is given a process model for the corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance. Spare parts supply and support equipment usage. The model can be used for the surface-to-air maintenance and support analysis and has reference to the maintenance and support simulation research for the other equipment with its good universality.

Through analyzing logical defects of Friedrich List’s infant industry theory, this paper obtains two hypothesis. One is that no industry is with single product portfolios, and so it is difficult for the developed countries defeating under-developed countries’ infant industry completely according to the comparative advantage theory. This implies that under-developed country could obtain more survival opportunities if it leverages appropriate product diverse strategies. The other hypothesis is protecting infant industry by tariff barriers would increase the cost of whole society, which slows down the development of infant industry, and that damaging interests of both backward country and powerful country. We construct a computer simulation model on Repast Simphony platform to verify the above two hypothesizes, and our simulation results show that the above two hypotheses make sense. We also got an unexpected result that it will lead to significant decline of the yield of the infant industry if one country in the trade exerts tariff barriers, meanwhile, the yield of the other countries will also decline but the decreased amount of the infant industry of the under-developed country obviously exceed the developed country, which means the trade protection damages both side of trade and the underdeveloped country get more injury. That implies the assumption of the tariff barriers protecting and accelerating the development of infant industry does not make sense.

In this paper, a numerical simulation research on the flow characteristics of dammed river under four kinds of riverbed structures is studied by using the turbulence model and the VOF model. The results show that: ① Due to the influence of the riverbed structure, the water flow vortex area of different riverbed structures is obviously different. The backwater and the reflux are the most obvious in a simulated bucket basin model of step-pool structure. ② The average velocity of the section of the bucket basin riverbed and the clustered riverbed is small, and the steady flow velocity is not large. Combined with the base pressure distribution of the riverbed, the pressure distribution of the bucket basin riverbed and ribbed riverbed is relatively regular. This shows that the bucket basin structure is of great help to improve the stability of riverbed. ③ The bucket basin model has better effect of energy dissipation than the other three types.

A truss is one of the most important parts of different structures applied in several areas of the contemporary industry. One of the most often appeared problems is the undesirable truss vibration activated, for example by the wind. The limitation of the undesired vibration is possible by the increase of the truss dimensions, but it leads to the increasing of the truss mass. The other way of the vibration damping is possible by the introduction of active elements, which generate the control forces acting on selected nodes of the truss. The piezoelectric actuators can be applicable elements to generate such control forces. Special active members are designed in order to introduce the piezoelectric actuators in the truss structure. A project of the control algorithm steering such members is a difficult task, because the truss with active members is MIMO control object. This article presents the results of the simulation research of LQG control system installed in exemplary truss with one, two or three piezoelectric active members. On the basis of the conducted simulation research one can claim that LQG control system could influence the increase of the vibration damping of such piezoelectric smart truss structure, without the increase of the truss mass.

For the fuzzy controller performance optimization, several optimization strategies on the membership function, control rules and scaling factors respectively are analyzed and compared, on the basis, the sigmoid function is introduced to replace the linear factor so to optimize the conventional fuzzy controller. The theoretical analysis is carried from mapping relations of sigmoid scaling factor and relations between it and the other parameters. It is shown that sigmoid scaling factor can get the same control effect to adjusting control rules or membership function. It can ensure the dynamic performance and at the same time effectively reduce the steady-state error, but the adjusting parameter is far less than the other strategies, it is easy and feasible.
