Abstract The far infrared absorption procedure for the evaluation of crystallinity of α-D-lactose is based on the oil-mull technique and the use of barium carbonate as an internal standard. Fixed slits, ordinate scale expansion, and very slow scanning rates are employed for analysis, and absorbance values are measured by the baseline technique. The method is applicable to samples such as whey solids and other dehydrated dairy products; however, the samples must be uniformly ground before analysis. For 10 test samples, the mean square error is 1.51% and the maximum error is about 2%. The time required for a single analysis is about 1 hr.

The results obtained from the validation of the procedure ‟Quantification of the degradation index of Photovoltaic Grid Connection Systems” are presented, using statistical parameters, which corroborate its accuracy, achieving a coefficient of determination of 0.9896, a percentage of the root of the mean square of the error RMSPE = 1.498% and a percentage of the mean absolute error MAPE = 1.15%, evidencing the precision of the procedure.

The developed method, which is a modification of the previously developed methods for constructing autoregressive models, is used to simulate the motion of space objects in the time series of their TLE elements. The modeling system has been developed that includes: determining the optimal volume of training samples in modeling time series of TLE elements; determination of the autoregression order for each variable (TLE element); determination of the optimal structure and identification of the parameters of the autoregressive model for each variable; identification of patterns of evolution of the mean square error of autoregressive models in time based on the modeling of time series of TLE elements according to the principle of "moving interval".
