This paper gives an analytical study of dynamic behavior of the exact solutions of nonlinear Korteweg–de Vries equation with space–time local fractional derivatives. By using the improved [Formula: see text]-expansion method, the explicit traveling wave solutions including periodic solutions, dark soliton solutions, soliton solutions and soliton-like solutions, are obtained for the first time. They can better help us further understand the physical phenomena and provide a strong basis. Meanwhile, some solutions are presented through 3D-graphs.

In this work, we establish the exact solutions of some mathematical physics models. The first integral method (FIM) is extended to find the explicit exact solutions of high-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). The considered models are: the space-time modified regularized long wave (mRLW) equation, the (1+2) dimensional space-time potential Kadomtsev Petviashvili (pKP) equation and the (1+2) dimensional space-time coupled dispersive long wave (DLW) system. FIM is a powerful mathematical tool that can be used to obtain the exact solutions of many non-linear PDEs.

The aim of this paper is to improve a sub-equation method to solve the space-time fractional Zeldovich equation with time-dependent coefficients involving the conformable fractional derivative. As result, we obtain three families of solutions including the hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational solutions. These solutions may be helpful to explain several phenomena in chemistry, including the combustion process. The study shows that the used method is effective and reliable and can be utilized as a substitution to construct new solutions of different types of nonlinear conformable fractional partial differential equations (NFPDEs) with variable coefficients.

The purpose of this review is to discuss recent developments occurring at the interface of cosmology with string and M theory. We begin with a short review of 1980s string cosmology and the Brandenberger–Vafa mechanism for explaining space–time dimensionality. It is shown how this scenario has been modified to include the effects of p-brane gases in the early universe. We then introduce the Pre-Big-Bang scenario (PBB), Hořava–Witten heterotic M theory and the work of Lukas, Ovrut and Waldram, and end with a discussion of large extra dimensions, the Randall–Sundrum model and Brane World cosmologies.
