In this paper, a novel linear vibrating feeder is designed that uses the centrifugal motion of an eccentric motor as the driving source. First, the working principle of the linear vibrating feeder is theoretically analyzed and the dynamic model is established. Subsequently, a dynamic simulation of the system is carried out using ANSYS software. The relationship between the displacement amplitude, vibration speed, and frequency of the linear vibrating feeder prototype is tested using a three-dimensional vibrometer, with an OT-10A copper terminal used to test the prototype. The experimental results indicate that, at a vibration frequency of 125 Hz, maximum vibration speeds of 1.23 and 1.70 mm/s are reached in the X- and Z-directions, respectively. The corresponding maximum amplitudes are 0.7 and 0.99 mm, and the material feeding speed reaches a maximum value of 123 mm/s. Compared with similar piezoelectric and electromagnetic vibrating feeders, the total weight of the prototype is reduced by a third, the noise is reduced by more than 20 dB, and the driving voltage is only 3.6 V. Hence, the performance of the linear vibrating feeder has been successfully demonstrated.

The oscillation modes of vibrating feeders with vibro-impact adaptive drive are researched, which are intended for output and loading of reflacted ore from chambers of wining blocks at underground mining, or other bulk media from bunkers and so on, under complicated vibration conditions. The resonant polyfrequency oscillations of the impactor of the vibro-impact drive of feeders with such drive in vibro-impact modes are excited, which through one-side elastic elements are transmitted to the feeder tray, and in the pillar of the reflacted ore in the chamber above the tray. With increasing load from the ore on the tray there is an increase in the intensity of the impactor vibration of the feeder vibro-impact drive with accelerations in hundreds m/s2. Such oscillations increase the depth of dissemination of vibrational effects in a pillar of reflacted ore above the tray, which increases the efficiency and productivity of vibration output. Depending on the feeders parameters in its oscillatory system, various modes of vibro-impact oscillations are excited. The task of choosing the mode of variation of the feeder is to choose such parameters, which would ensure efficient vibration output of the rock mass and reliability of its operation.

The main scientific and practical results of the improvement of  vibrating feeders-screens for mining and metallurgical industry are  presented on the basis of dynamic calculation of the vibrating feederscreen with two differently directed self-balancing vibrators. Methods  of theoretical generalizations are described using mathematical statistics, physical and mathematical modeling, computation and feasibility studies, laboratory and full-scale experimental studies, industrial  tests in the conditions of operating enterprises using standard and new  methods. Mathematical modeling and calculation of the parameters of  a vibrating feeder of the PVG type are proposed. It is recommended  when choosing dynamic parameters of the feeder, to use the vibration  transmission coefficient, which is taken within the limits (1.5  –  3.5)g,   and in heavy loading modes, is up to 5g. It is shown that during preparation of breeze coke in the crushing body, from 10 to 50  % of fine  material is received from its bunker with a particle size of 0  –  3  mm,  which is additionally re-milled, reducing the quality of coke. A vibrating feeder-screen with a spatial oscillation of the working element will  increase the efficiency of screening of the material by 15  –  20  % and  will improve the self-cleaning of the screen. The driving forces of the  exciters are directed at different angles of 15 and 45° to the screening surfaceand are attached from each other at a distance equal to half  width of the box, i.e. 600  mm. It is established that in the resonance  mode at a constant amplitude with increasing frequency the coefficient  of the vibro-displacement regime increases according to a quadratic  dependence, at a working frequency of 100 rad/s it also increases from  the loading edge of the feeder to the unloading and from one side to  another, the value of which varies within 2.62  –  2.84.

Under modern conditions vibrating hopper feeders with electromagnetic drive are irreplaceable when it comes to production processes in mechanical engineering and instrument making optimization processes. They are used to download small, medium or miniature details to automated technological equipment, such as automatic machines, automatic lines and automated complexes, or any other flexible automated production. The vibrating hopper loading devices are most commonly used in transportation and loading of details on working positions of assembly automatic machines and assembly automated complexes. In this case the details must be issued in a clearly oriented state. For this purpose, the stationary automated orienting devices, or the orienting devices located directly on the working vibrating feeders` bodies are used. Low compressed air pressure is often used in these devices. Apart from this, in some cases the low compressed air pressure is used in vibrating feeders to increase the maximum lifting angle when vibrating transportation of details on a transport tray of the feeder. We already know the designs of vibrating feeders, whose transport tray is equipped with channels and openings for the supply of compressed air, whose jets affect the parts that are transported in order to increase the maximum possible lifting angle or the speed of parts transportation, as well as to ensure the guaranteed gap between them at the download position. We also know the vibrating feeders` constructions equipped with jet pneumatic devices, which are set exactly on the vibrating feeder hopper and serve for non-contact orientation of details that are issued. All of these devices use the low compressed air supplied by means of the flexible pipeline from a workshop pneumatic network. But the fact that such network is simply absent in many enterprises` workshops makes it impossible to use the vibrating feeders like these, this way decreasing their use. For expanding their use it is necessary to have vibrating feeders with individual low pressure compressed air source. Modern production manufactures new models of machines with high technical economic indicators, so functionality increase  of the existing one equipment and the development of new schemes of machines is an important task for designers and technological equipment manufacturers, because minimal improvement of its technological and performance can lead to a significant economic effect. The set of elements affecting the performance and efficiency of vibrating bunker feeders with electromagnetic drives that have a directional elastic system are presented in this paper. The additional structural elements increasing the functionality of such feeders are offered.

The object of research is vibrational feeders with vibro-impact adaptive drive, the characteristic feature of which is the multifrequency excitation and self-adjusting of the oscillations parameters, including the frequency spectrum, to change the mass of the technological load. The basis of the problem solution is the excitation of vibro-impact oscillations of the working body (tray) of the feeder, at which in its vibration drive the resonant frequency oscillations are realized, the intensity and frequency spectrum of which increase with increasing the technological load on the feeder tray, which distinguishes such vibrators from those used in typical feeders. Vibro-impact systems with such vibro-excitement with parameters and dynamic loading, identical with analogues, have, depending on their purpose, from 3 to 8 times less power consumption, and from 3 to 5 times increase in the intensity of oscillations. At the same time, due to polyfrequency excitation, the mobility of the technological medium that is being processed is improved, which is especially important for the control of freezing and adhesion of materials in the bunkers, or in the pillar of the reflacted rock mass during its output by the vibrating feeders from the chambers of the wining blocks at the underground mining of minerals.

Any processing of bulk materials requires their moving and uniform feed (dosage). On this depends the quality and efficiency of many technological processes. For uniform and controlled supply of bulk, materials for transporting or processing machines use feeders. Among feeders in recent years, an increasing distribution received disk vibrating feeders, which are characterized by small size, without moving parts, prostate, reliability, accuracy and smooth control supply. Disk vibrating feeder has a horizontal spreading disk, which is located coaxially and with a gap below the outlet of the hopper. Spreading disk is connected with vibratory drive. This research was aimed at finding technical solutions ensuring the reduction of specific energy consumption of disk vibrating feeder. The study showed, that if the spreading disc perform with a central hole, which is closed by an elastic membrane, then this can significantly reduce the specific energy consumption per unit of production.
