The article presents an analysis of the use of correlation-regression analysis, which is based on the methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory in the study of the power consumption of enterprises with equipment of continuous production. On the basis of the annual power consumption schedule of the electric steel-smelting shop in a monthly time section, mathematical models have been developed for the power consumption parameters. And also, on the basis of statistical data with the use of a mathematical method, mathematical expressions were obtained for the electric power consumption and the specific consumption for the main equipment of the electric steel-smelting shop. In order to assess the adequacy of the developed mathematical models, mathematical models of the total and specific consumption of their power consumption are compared with actual data. The comparison results show high reliability of the power consumption modes of the main equipment of the facility in question. The analysis of the values of forecast errors with low error rates determines the adequacy of the developed mathematical models of the parameters of power consumption in terms of power consumption and specific consumption for the main equipment of the electric steel-smelting shop. In this regard, they can be used to determine the predicted values of the parameters of power consumption in electric steelmaking equipment.

The results of the study of the influence of the main technological parameters of steel smelting (composition of charge materials, duration of smelting and furnace downtime, oxidation refining intensity and metal temperature at the outlet) on the lining resistance of a small arch of a steel-smelting arc furnace in the Ural Steel JSC are presented. Recommendations have been developed for optimizing the technological and energetic regimes of steel smelting, which make it possible to prolong the service life of the lining of a small vault and reduce the cost of steel production. construction, repair and reconstruction of roads require high costs of mineral raw materials in the form of sand, gravel, mineral powder. However, its reserves on the territory of our country are distributed unevenly, which causes significant transportation costs for the delivery of mineral resources to construction sites. In addition, mineral resources are inevitably reduced over time, which requires extensive involvement in the construction of roads of non-traditional types of raw materials, as well as industrial waste. The paper presents the results of studies of the properties of electric steel slag, the current output and stored in the dumps for several years. The main component of electric steel-smelting slags, both fresh and dumped, lying in dumps for about 20 years, is shannonite or γ-modification of calcium orthosilicate C2S. It has been established that the mineralogical composition of the Oskol Electrometallurgical Combine's slag is represented by hematite, wuistite, calcite, periclase, and also portlandite, formed during quenching of lime. Analysis of diffractograms of slags of different shelf life shows that in the initial periods of slag storage in the dumps there is a final quenching of lime and its carbonization with the formation of calcite. The results of the determination of the granulometric composition of the slag of different storage periods showed a decrease with time of the number of fine fractions and an increase in large fractions. It is established that when using electric steel-smelting slags in the construction and repair of highways, it is necessary to take into account changes in the physical and mechanical properties of materials. The processes that take place during the maintenance of slags in dumps determine the suitability of the use of slag mineral materials in road construction.

In the Russian Federation the most common way of disposal of waste products is landfill. One of its drawbacks is the formation of highly contaminated filtration water. It was made an attempt to treat the leachate with a ferric coagulant-flocculant obtained from the electric steel smelting slag after the acid treatment with hydrochloric acid (the modification time of 1.5 N HCl at 40 °C is no more than 1 hour). To improve the treatment efficiency of highly contaminated leachate it was analysed  a simultaneous application of the obtained coagulant-flocculant and conventional coagulants Al(SO4)2 and ferric chloride). It was shown a decrease in the values of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) by 94.4%, the color of the leachate by (91.3%). It was  studied the physical and chemical properties of the filtration waters of the waste disposal landfill, as well as the dependence of the formation of the precipitable sediment volume on the portion of the injected coagulants and flocculant.
