The Subject

The subject of the study were samples of channel technical carbon K354, furnace technical carbon N121 and experimental – based on TUN121, oxidized with active forms of oxygen. Samples of carbon black were studied in the composition of a rubber mixture based on BK 1675N butyl rubber. The purpose of this study was to determine the possibility of using oxidized technical carbon N121 in fillers of rubber based on butyl rubber, instead of carbon black K354. The physicochemical properties of the samples of technical carbon under study, the results of physical and mechanical tests, and the gas permeability tests of rubber mixtures filled with the samples under study are presented. A conclusion is made about the possibility of replacing channel technical carbon K354 with furnace black carbon N121 oxidized with 30% hydrogen peroxide.

The results of studies of thermolysis waste in the environment of overheated water vapor are presented. It is shown that as a result of fractionation from liquid waste thermolysis products, gasoline and diesel fuel fractions can be obtained. It is proposed to use a composite mixture of liquid and solid waste thermolysis products as raw materials for high-grade technical carbon. Studies have shown that high-grade technical carbon can be obtained as raw materials using a composite mixture of rubber waste thermolysis products as raw materials. The technological line of obtaining technical carbon from the products of thermolysis of worn tires is described. Analysis of the ash produced by the process of burning the composite mixture shows that it contains compounds of iron, zinc and silicon. Therefore, this ash is of interest as a high-quality raw material for the production of zinc oxide, as one of the main ingredients of rubber mixtures.

This article discusses effect of filler concentration on impact strength of an epoxy resin composite. The optimal ratio of resin and hardener is defined. Research of the effect of the concentration of the filler - carbon black P505 on the impact strength of a composite material based on epoxy resin ED-20 is made. According to the results of the study, it is shown that with an increase of concentration of the filler from P505 carbon black, the toughness decreases. Fractographic studies of the fracture surfaces of composites were also carried out, which indicate that the introduction of a filler leads to a decrease in the surface energy of destruction. Thus, studies of epoxy composite modified with technical carbon grade P505 showed a decrease in impact strength up to 4 times, depending on the increase in the mass fraction of the filler.
