The magnetic susceptibility of CeAl2 was measured under pressure up to 2 kbar at 78, 185 and 296 K. The results are treated in terms of a theory which includes the Kondo effect and crystal field splitting. The derivatives with respect to volume are obtained for the splitting ∆ and the effective sd-f exchange parameter I.
