A novel and efficient alkoxylselenenylation from alkenes, diselenides, and alcohols mediated by iodine is developed, with which a series of β-alkoxy selenides are synthesized. In this procedure, firstly, I2 reacts with diselenide to form in situ the active electrophilic selenium species RSeI, then following an electrophilic addition of it to alkenes provides β-alkoxy selenides with high regioselectivity and in good yields. This new method for achieving β-alkoxy selenides has some advantages over other methods such as using available and cheap iodine as the oxidizing species at room temperature, which makes this reaction has milder reaction conditions and simpler procedure.

<p>Nucleophilic substitution on hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCTP) with allylamine in order to give hexa(allylamino)cyclotriphosphazene (HACTP)  is performed for the first time under mild conditions by using diethylether as solvent to replace benzene which is very toxic. The reaction time is reduced to half and also performed at room temperature but especially in the presence of an eco-catalyst called Maghnite-H+. This catalyst has a significant role in the industrial scale. In fact, the use of Maghnite is preferred for its many advantages: a very low purchase price compared to other catalysts, the easy removal of the reaction mixture. Then, Maghnite-H+ is became an excellent catalyst for many chemical reactions. The structure of HACTP synthesized in the presence of Maghnite-H+ to 5% by weight is confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 31P-NMR (Nuclear magnetic resonance) and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy). MALDI-TOF (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation-time-of-flight mass spectrometry) is used to establish the molecular weight of HACTP which is 471 g/mol. DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetery) and TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis) show that HACTP is a crystalline product with a melting point of 88 °C. It is reactive after melting but is degraded from 230 °C. Copyright © 2016 BCREC GROUP. Abstract Photocrosslinking with UV light in air of silica-filled EPDM rubbers is possible in practical applications for at least 2 mm thick layers which are cemented onto a steel substrate. To find the optimum formulation of the rubber composition, it is essential to know the function of each component. Further optimization can be achieved by using the APOE to the TMPTA system and by using a suitable primer cement on the metal.

Pure nickel carbide (Ni3C) nanoparticles with particle diameters of 40 nm have been prepared by thermal decomposition of nickel formate in the presence of oleic acid and oleyl amine. The co-existence of active nickel and active carbon plays an important role in the formation of metastable Ni3C. Ni3C powder decomposes at 770 K in an N2 atmosphere to yield nickel and carbon. While in an H2 atmosphere, Ni3C powder is converted into Ni at 627 K. In addition, Ni3C nanoparticles exhibit superparamagnetism and are easier to magnetize at room temperature due to their good crystallinity and few defects.

Instable plasticity, which is normally a consequence of interactions between diffusing solute atoms and dislocations, is observed in AZ91D magnesium at room temperature. Experimental measurements of different heat treatment of AZ91D magnesium were taken to investigate different influence on PLC effect by the presence and structural state of second phase in this study. Tensile specimens were tested at room temperature at a crosshead speed of 0.6 mm/min. The results indicate that some number of large, coherent precipitates prevents serrated flow by way of trapping vacancies, but small precipitates content do not supress it.
