Thick (111) oriented β-SiC layers have been grown by hetero-epitaxy on a (0001) a-SiC substrate with the Continuous Feed-Physical Vapour Transport (CF-PVT) method. The growth rate was 68 µm/h at a pressure of 2 torr and a temperature of 1950°C. The nucleation step of the β-SiC layer during the heating up of the process was studied in order to manage first the a to b heteropolytypic transition and second the selection of the b-SiC orientation. With a adapted seeding stage, we grew a 0.4mm thick layer almost free of Double Positioning Boundaries on a 30mm diameter sample. First observations of the layer by cross-polarised optical Microscopy are presented both in planar view and in cross section geometry.

The bremsstrahlung weighted cross section σ−1, is calculated for,16O using the linked cluster expansion to introduce two-body correlations. All diagrams up to second order in the G-matrix are calculated. A particular choice is made among these diagrams which are grouped in order to preserve the normalization of the one-body density and of the two-body density. This selection of diagrams is shown to be consistent with an expansion in the number of hole-lines. The correlated value obtained in this way, σ−1 = 14.99 mb, is close to the experimental value σ−1 = 15.10 mb although the calculation might still be subject to improvement.

Uncertainty and sensitivity analysis of void reactivity feedback for 3D BWR fuel assembly model is presented in this paper. Uncertainties in basic input data, such as the selection of different cross section library, manufacturing uncertainties in material compositions, and geometrical dimensions, as well as operating data are considered. An extensive modelling of different input data realizations associated with their uncertainties was performed during sensitivity analysis. The propagation of uncertainties was analyzed using the statistical approach. The results revealed that important information on the code predictions can be obtained by analyzing and comparing the codes estimations and their associated uncertainties.

A finite element model ships, for example design test condition of the underwater explosion, selection of explosive package quantity is 1000KG TNT, the explosive location along the direction of the ship with the bow, midship and stern, the angle of attack in three exploded cross section have 90 degrees, 60 degrees, 45 degrees, 30 degrees and 0 degrees. According to the current standard to calculate the ship damage radius, critical radius and safety radius of specific values under the effect of underwater explosion, interpolation calculation and draw the envelope. Analysis shows that the vitality of ships and shock-resistance is not only related to the explosive distance, also related to the attack position.
