The binary system of vitamin K3 and CO2 was investigated at temperatures of 40, 60 and 80 ?C up to a pressure of 40 MPa. Solubility was measured by a static-analytic method. Partial molar volumes were determined by a method involving a vibrating tube densimeter. The solubility of vitamin K3 in CO2 is found as a function of pressure and temperature. The highest solubility (31.16?10-4 mol?mol-1) was attained at a pressure of 25.40 MPa at temperature of 40?C. However, at temperature of 60?C and a pressure of 24.02 MPa, the solubility was 18.79?10-4 mol?mol-1. Solubility was lower at a temperature of 80?C and a pressure of 22.06 MPa (6.48?10-4 mol?mol-1). The partial molar volumes are negative and the dissolved vitamin K3 has a minor impact on the density of the solution of K3 in CO2 compared to the density of the pure CO2.

Apparent molar heat capacities Cp,ϕ and apparent molar volumes Vϕ for aqueous diethanolamine (HOC2H4)2NH, diethanolammonium chloride (HOC2H4)2NH2Cl, N,N'-dimethylethanolamine (HOC2H4)(CH3)2N, and N,N'-dimethylethanolammonium chloride (HOC2H4)(CH3)2NHCl were determined from 283.15 to 328.15 K with a Picker flow microcalorimeter and vibrating tube densimeter. The experimental results have been analyzed in terms of Young's Rule with the Guggenheim form of the extended Debye-Hückel equation and appropriate corrections for chemical relaxation effects. These calculations lead to standard partial molar heat capacities and volumes for the neutral amines, (HOC2H4)2NH(aq) and (HOC2H4)(CH3)2N(aq), and the ions (HOC2H4)2NH2+(aq) and (HOC2H4)(CH3)2NH+(aq) over the experimental temperature range. Excess molar volumes in the benzene-tert-amyl methyl ether and cyclohexane-tert-amyl methyl ether systems were measured by a vibrating-tube densimeter at 298.15 K and compared with the data for the methanol-tert-amyl methyl ether system determined previously. Besides, the refractive indices in both the systems were measured at the same temperature.

Partial molar volumes of ammonium aluminium sulfate and potassium aluminium sulfate in DMF-water mixtures (5-20 wt.% of DMF) have been determined from solution density measurements at various temperatures and electrolyte concentrations. The data were evaluated by using Masson equation and the obtained parameters were interpreted in terms of ion-solvent and ion-ion interactions. Both electrolytes have been found to act as the structure makers/promotors in DMF-water systems.
