In order to find the trends of carbonation conversion rate X when the carbonated atmosphere contains water vapor, experiments were carried out by the homemade calcination/carbonation fixed-bed reactor, in which water vapor could be added in the reaction atmosphere. By experiments in different conditions, the results have showed that: with the increase of the water vapor content X was improved significantly, and the exaltation was also reflected in the cycles; when the carbonation temperature was low water vapor on the absorbent performance will show a greater improvement; calcination temperature also has an affect on X, when the calcination temperature was higher, the effect of water vapor was more obvious.
