Silver nanoparticles were immobilized on fibers to create composite materials. The composites are shown to be efficient heterogeneous catalyst with very good recyclability. These composite materials are also proven to be good SERS substrates.

A robust manganese(iv)-containing aluminophosphate material (MnAPO-5) with an AFI framework which showed excellent catalytic efficiency in the selective oxidation of styrene and the synthesis of adipic acid from cyclohexanone has been developed.

We report here tetrabutylammonium tribromide supported on MCM-48 as a highly efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the selective oxidation of sulfides, in ethanolic medium using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant.
