Taking practical responsible decisions in the field of social and industrial management in the context of rapid development of digital technologies in the era of the knowledge economy is impossible without reliance on expertise. A kind of organization of activities for the production of ‘predictions’ is required, when not only an accurate assessment of the impact of certain factors and their possible interactions with each other is given, but also as a result of creative construction of scenarios for the development of processes and events, an understanding comes which factors need to be taken into account. At the same time, the expertise constantly faces criticism, calling the conclusions of experts arbitrary, unreliable and subjective. Often, expertise is confused with monitoring, evaluation, diagnosis, inspection or counseling. The authors of the article carried out a structural analysis of the content of the expertise processes in the project management vector in the digitalization era and came to the conclusion that the effectiveness of the expertise is significantly increased in case of clear regulation of this type of activity, providing the necessary status.

Colour studies have generated much confusion in art and design education, particularly among students of the discipline in Nigeria. This is due to the complexity of the subject matter itself, wide-range of available materials and a variety of concepts developed in its multi-disciplinarity that is not kept distinct. Therefore, this paper utilizes a qualitative approach that employs the critical, historical, and analytic examination to provide clarification on the constructive and expressive aspects of colour studies. The paper introduces the reader to the pivotal role of colour and its multi-disciplinary interest. Also, it adequately clarifies paradigms and theories in the physical, psychophysical and psychological domains with particular emphasis on areas of practical value to art and design. Moreover, it considers the numeric adaptation of the colour wheel to a set of numbers for harmonic relationship. And it ends with the need for artists and designers to comprehensively grasp the contextual behaviour of colour and develop colour originality through creative construction and effective use in order to successfully express themselves in colour.

This research aims at discussing a possible reading of Gustav Klimt’s painting "Jurisprudenz", from a juridical perspective, in order to explain its potential of meaning regarding the relation between law, sovereign violence and public sphere in peripheral countries like Brazil. In order to do so, this paper is based on three analytical aspects, which are deeply interconnected: The Renaissance’s revival of pagan Antiquity, Freud’s psychoanalysis, and the ambivalent relationship between Law and sovereign violence. Klimt articulates these three dimensions through a) elements of Greek mythology; b) in a Freudian dream-like atmosphere; c) placing the observer in the political role of one of its main characters. Methodologically, this research identifies the references of Klimt at his lifetime and proposes a dialog with the previous interpretations and reflections made by Schorske, Minkkinen, Rodriguez and Manderson, among other authors that dedicated themselves to study the "Jurisprudenz" of Klimt. "Jurisprudenz" presents a visual narrative that allows one to understand the rupture of the cogito self by the desire self (Freud), the exception/sovereign violence of Law (Schmitt, Benjamin, Agamben), and the creative construction of the Law by democratic participation in new forms of public sphere (Habermas).

Deliberative judgment formation is a core human skill largely irreplaceable by rational formalisms. Judgment is rationally learnable and improvable like other skills, and well-designed deliberation is the foundation of non-formal rationality. It includes self-improvement by learning about our own norms and deliberative processes, exemplified in increasingly powerful scientific method, in the spread of institutional ethical resolution processes, and so on. There are four principal resources or means for the improvement of skilled judgment: observation, the use of both formal and non-formal reasoning procedures, constrained but creative construction, and systematic critical appraisal. These four bundles of processes are utilized by both individuals and, typically more powerfully, by communal groupings such as research teams. The bulk of the chapter is devoted to expositions of the four resources of non-formal reason and their strategic deployment in problem solving.

Performance of a construction project could be influenced by a number of attributes, especially large and complex projects lay additional focus on the success / failure attributes, because of the intensive amount of money invested, a high degree of uncertainty, the complexity of personnel’s required, a multiplicity of goals and problems in coordination between different stakeholders encountered. In this research paper, the author intended to define and examine the relationship and impact of construction productivity (CP) over construction project performance (CPP). The author tests the proposition that there is a positive relationship/impact between both of them. And to test the effect of factors is affecting CP on CPP and to propose a conceptual model on the basis of the analysis. To validate the mathematical validity of factor analysis, Spearman correlation analysis has been performed on the factors. And to check the reliability of all the factors using reliability analysis, and finally test the hypothesis that construction productivity is having a positive impact on project performance using one sample t-test. The findings of the study concluded that there is a positive impact of construction productivity on project performance in Indian construction projects. This paper attempts to identify the relationship between CP and CPP and recommends the framework for the industry to grow sustainably and deliver projects successfully. Construction companies can be difficult to manage because of complex supply chains, autonomous project managers aiming to maximize net profit, heavy emphasis on price, etc. Another particularity, namely the construction companies' vulnerability for work-related crime, does not receive sufficient attention in the project management literature. In order to study how two major Norwegian contractors managed to safeguard their reputation in the aftermath of the discovery of tax crime and money laundering within their projects, this paper investigates the following research questions: 1) What are the main challenges regarding work-related crime? and 2) How do contractors manage their professional reputation and public image in the aftermath of exposed work-related crime?This is an exploratory study starting with a literature review, followed by a case study consisting of a document study and 12 semi-structured in-depth interviews with representatives on the strategic level. Work-related crime could have a devastating effect on a contractor's reputation. Reputation is perceived to be a vital catalyst for contractors that want to continue in business and conduct projects for reputable clients. Therefore, the most important measure will be to deliver projects according to the agreed price and quality, within the scheduled time, while not compromising either the contract, all the legal jurisdictions aspects or ethical standards. In these particular cases, the contractors perceived their reputation as remaining untarnished due to their successful ad-hoc reputation management. However, the contractors have to do more than just distancing themselves. They must actively prevent criminal actors from entering their projects. This paper is a revised version of the paper (study) published earlier in the proceedings of the Creative Construction Conference 2018 (Engebø et al., 2018).

Summary This article adapts Linn’s ‘stylistics of standardization’ concept, which Linn (1998) has used to compare Norwegian and Faroese grammarians, to look at grammaticization processes in the first two grammars of German (Albertus 1573, Ölinger 1574). While both are clearly indebted to traditional Latin grammar and humanist ideals, these two grammars differ interestingly in the picture of the language that emerges from their metalanguage and structural principles. In his reflection on the language, his structuring and naming of linguistic phenomena and his attitudes to variation, Ölinger is the practical pedagogue, who imposes systematicity and aims for a one-to-one form-function relationship. Albertus on the other hand, though he too envisages his grammar being used for learning German, has a more cultural patriotic motivation, celebrating the richness and variety of German, worthy to be ranked alongside Latin, Greek and Hebrew. Albertus and Ölinger thus come up with quite different versions of the (as yet arguably non-existent) High German language. Each grammar yields a different subset of possible forms, reminding us that grammar-writing is always a task of creative construction.

The utilization of solid waste materials or industrial waste as partial substitution of cement is growing in construction industry all around world. Less cement consumption causes consequently reduction in CO2 emission into the atmosphere and reduction in energy consumption. This paper examines the possibility of using finely ground waste glass as a partial replacement for cement and as a sealing admixture. Glass powder used in the research was prepared from the glass waste obtained from a local recycling company. Glass cullet made of brown glass, which after rinsing to remove sugars and other impurities, was dried and ground to a fraction below 125 μm.This paper is the revised version of the paper that has been published in the Proceedings of the Creative Construction Conference 2018 (Horszczaruk and Brzozowski, 2018).
