Lifestyle plays an important role in determining health and vitality among older adults. However, there is limited evidence regarding lifestyle assessment. This study examined the psychometric properties of the Yonsei Lifestyle Profile-Satisfaction (YLP-S). The participants in the study included 156 older adults. Rasch analysis was used to test unidimensionality, fit statistics, and the precision of the YLP-S. The YLP-S demonstrated a unidimensional measurement construct, and 18 items fit the Rasch model. The YLP-S illustrated reasonable precision (person strata = 5.37). Only 4 items showed differential item functioning by sex or age groups. The findings indicate that the YLP-S demonstrated sound internal validity and can be used by health professionals to measure the multifaceted lifestyle of older adults.

Malaysia is considered one of the developing countries undergoing rapid economic development over the past five decades. As a developing country with a rapidly growing population, providing the citizens with comprehensive and updated knowledge is crucial for the country, particularly in vocational training. A number of vocational and technical training have been developed. However, the success of vocational education relies on the capability of instructors or teacher’s approach to achieve the goals. It is important to create appropriate method that take into consideration their students’ learning styles to get better outcome. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop vocational learning styles instrument. Empirical evidence on the validity and reliability of modified items has been done. A survey of 57 Electrical Technology students were distributed. The Rasch measurement model was used to examine the functional items and detect the item and respondent reliability and index separation, the polarity of item, measuring the fit of item in measuring the construct and standardised residual correlation values.

e20598 Background: Post-treatment patients with active cancer face considerable burden from the effects of both disease and treatment. The Palliative Rehabilitation Program was designed to ease those challenges and to improve the patient’s functioning. The current study evaluated the changes in function scores of patients with advanced cancer upon completion of the structured program and examined the medical predictors of program completion. Methods: Referrals for 173 patients who were finished anticancer therapy were received. One hundred and thirty six patients were eligible and enrolled in the eight-week interprofessional palliative rehabilitation program. Of those, 84 completed the program. Measures of physical, nutritional, social and psychological functioning were evaluated at entry and completion of the program. Results: Significant improvements were experienced in physical performance (P =0.000), nutrition (P =0.000), symptom severity (P=0.005 to P= 0.000), symptom interference in functioning (P =0.001 to P=0.000), and fatigue (P=0.001 to P=0.000). Reasons for not completing the program were: disease progression, geographical inaccessibility, being too well, dying, and personal/unknown reasons. A normal CRP level (<10mg/L; P=0.013) was a predictor of program completion. Conclusions: Patients living with advanced heterogeneous cancers who underwent an interprofessional palliative rehabilitation program experienced significant improvement in their functioning in many domains. Program completion can be predicted by normal CRP level.
