Stable aqueous solution of purple carbon black (PCB) was prepared first and then added to prevulcanized natural rubber latex. The effects of the amount of PCB, silane coupling agent and the type of silane coupling agent on the mechanical properties of the vulcanized latex film were researched. The results show that the best mechanical properties were obtained when the vulcanized film was filled with 6 phr PCB modified by KH560. TG shows that thermal stability of the film with PCB modified by KH560 increased. DSC shows that the glass transition temperature of the film increased after adding PCB.

Adding 0, 20, and 50 wt% natural-rubber latex compound into the plaster ceiling matrix affected to increase the physical-mechanical-thermal performance properties of plaster ceiling composites. Adding 50 wt% natural rubber latex compound into plaster composites can increase the superior adhesion of the nail-tensile resistance equal to 57.54 N and decrease thermal conductivity equal to 0.0634 W/m.K. In addition, adding natural rubber latex compounds into plaster composites can reduce water solubility, brittleness, impact, and cost of energy consumption due to the exterior temperature. Adequate thermal insulation for roofing, ceiling, and wall systems also reduces radiative losses that chill occupants in cold weather, and reduce interior surface temperatures in the summer, thereby optimizing the comfort of building occupants. The mechanical and thermal properties of plaster composites were investigated by using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and heat flow meter, respectively, measured according to TIS 1211-50, TIS 219-2522, and ASTM C518.

A range of radiation vulcanised natural rubber latex (RVNRL) films were prepared using various concentrations of aqueous extracts of mature Diospyros peregrina fruit, which acted as a cross-linking agent. The surface of the RVNRL films exhibited an aggregated morphology of the rubber hydrocarbon with increasing roughness due to increasing fruit extract contents in the latex. An improvement in tensile strength, tensile modulus, and storage modulus of RVNRL films was observed with the addition of fruit extracts compared to the control film due to their cross-linking effect. The glass transition (Tg) temperature of all the RVNRL films was found to be at around −61.5°C. The films were also observed to be thermally stable up to 325°C, while the maximum decomposition temperature appeared at around 375°C. The incorporation of fruit extracts further revealed a significant influence on increasing the crystallinity, gel content, and physical cross-link density of the RVNRL films.

The effects of the ratios of natural rubber latex (NRL)and chloroprene rubber latex(CRL) and the type of compatibilizer on physical and mechanical properties of latex film were researched. The oil resistance of vulcanized latex film was tested. The compatibility of the latex blends was also analyzed by TG/DTG method. The results showed that properties of latex film were best when ratio of NRL/CRL was 75/25. As the CRL content increased, oil resistance of latex film was improved. Epoxidized natural rubber latex improved compatibility of NRL and CRL blends.
