Reading comprehension is a reading activity that aims to obtain adequate understanding and interpretation of the meanings contained in written symbols. the reading process is divided into three stages, such as pre-reading, reading, and post-reading. But the reality is that many of the students still experience difficulties in reading comprehension learning. Therefore, researchers applied an Accelerated Learning approach to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The results showed, the assessment of the process of reading students' skills for each assessment indicator was in the value range of 78.35% to 87.35% which was included in the good and very good category. While the results of the assessment of the overall reading skills process were 82.32% with a very good category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that learning based on the accelerated learning approach can enhance reading comprehension skills of students in class V of the Primary school of 011 Air Emas, Singingi District.

The ability to measure privacy accurately and consistently is key in the development of new privacy protections. However, recent studies have uncovered weaknesses in existing privacy metrics, as well as weaknesses caused by the use of only a single privacy metric. Metrics suites, or combinations of privacy metrics, are a promising mechanism to alleviate these weaknesses, if we can solve two open problems: which metrics should be combined and how. In this article, we tackle the first problem, i.e., the selection of metrics for strong metrics suites, by formulating it as a knapsack optimization problem with both single and multiple objectives. Because solving this problem exactly is difficult due to the large number of combinations and many qualities/objectives that need to be evaluated for each metrics suite, we apply 16 existing evolutionary and metaheuristic optimization algorithms. We solve the optimization problem for three privacy application domains: genomic privacy, graph privacy, and vehicular communications privacy. We find that the resulting metrics suites have better properties, i.e., higher monotonicity, diversity, evenness, and shared value range, than previously proposed metrics suites.

A Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) works by forming a progressive seal cavity through the eccentric rotation of rotor. PCP parameters, such as eccentricity ratio [Formula: see text], can influence its performance and cavitation characteristics. The internal correlation among clearance fluid, cavitation characteristics, and pump performance should be explored to reveal the variation laws of internal flow and cavitation characteristics in PCP under different [Formula: see text]. In this study, a contrast analysis on external characteristics (e.g. volume efficiency) of pump with different eccentricity ratios was carried out by combining an RNG [Formula: see text] turbulence model based on Singhal full-cavitation model and the model pump test method. Moreover, gas volume distribution of PCP was analyzed and the optimal value range of eccentricity ratio was proposed. Results demonstrate that the axial force and axial power of PCP basically remain the same, volume efficiency increases, and cavitation performance decreases with the increase of [Formula: see text], and the optimal value for [Formula: see text] ranges from 0.17 to 0.24. In addition, a revised NPSHQ is proposed to quantify the cavitation characteristics of PCP.

In this paper, the resistive switching characteristics in a Ti/HfO2: Al/Pt sandwiched structure are investigated for gradual conductance tuning inherent functions. The variation in conductance of the device under different amplitudes and voltage pulse widths is studied. At the same time, it was found that the variation in switching parameters in resistive random-access memory (RRAM) under impulse response is impacted by the initial conductance states. The device was brought to a preset resistance value range by energizing a single voltage amplitude pulse with a different number of periodicities. This is an efficient and simple programming algorithm to simulate the strength change observed in biological synapses. It exhibited an on/off of about 100, an endurance of over 500 cycles, and a lifetime (at 85 °C) of around 105 s. This multi-level switching two-terminal device can be used for neuromorphic applications to simulate the gradual potentiation (increasing conductance) and inhibition (decreasing conductance) in an artificial synapse.

Abstract Sheep are often subjected to painful procedures and thus they need to be treated with analgesics. Nevertheless, knowledges about pharmacokinetic features of these drugs in this species are poor. The aim of this study was to evaluate plasma behaviour of cimicoxib in sheep after a single oral administration at two different dose rates (4 and 6 mg/kg). Maximum plasma concentrations of cimicoxib were equal to 273.78 (median value; range 189.00-567.32) and 565.01 (range 308.27-822.59) ng/mL after treatment with 4 and 6 mg/kg, respectively. The time of maximum concentration (Tmax) was achieved between 4 and 10 hours following treatment at the lower dose, and between 6 and 10 hours after the administration of the higher dose, with one sheep achieving the concentration peak at 0.75 hours. The slow absorption and the great individual variability in plasma concentration, probably due to ruminal effects, suggest that cimicoxib is not suitable for oral treatment in sheep.

Background: Lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) in combination with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR) has been proposed to improve residual rotatory knee instability in patients having ACL deficiency. Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose was to compare the effects of isolated ACLR (iACLR) versus LET in combination with ACLR (ACLR+LET) on in vivo kinematics during downhill running. It was hypothesized that ACLR+LET would reduce the internal rotation of the reconstructed knee in comparison with iACLR. Study Design: Controlled laboratory study. Methods: A total of 18 patients with ACL deficiency were included. All participants were randomly assigned to receive ACLR+ LET or iACLR during surgery. Six months and 12 months after surgery, knee joint motion during downhill running was measured using dynamic biplane radiography and a validated registration process that matched patient-specific 3-dimensional bone models to synchronized biplane radiographs. Anterior tibial translation (ATT; positive value means “anterior translation”) and tibial rotation (TR) relative to the femur were calculated for both knees. The side-to-side differences (SSDs) in kinematics were also calculated (operated knee–contralateral healthy knee). The SSD value was compared between ACLR+LET and iACLR groups using a Mann-Whitney U test. Results: At 6 months after surgery, the SSD of ATT in patients who had undergone ACLR+LET (–1.9 ± 2.0 mm) was significantly greater than that in patients who had undergone iACLR (0.9 ± 2.3 mm) at 0% of the gait cycle (foot strike) ( P = .031). There was no difference in ATT 12 months after surgery. Regarding TR, there were no differences between ACLR+LET and iACLR at either 6 months ( P value range, .161-.605) or 12 months ( P value range, .083-.279) after surgery. Conclusion: LET in combination with ACLR significantly reduced ATT at the instant of foot strike during downhill running at 6 months after surgery. However, this effect was not significant at 12 months after surgery. The addition of LET to ACLR had no effect on TR at both 6 and 12 months after surgery. Clinical Relevance: LET in combination with ACLR may stabilize sagittal knee motion during downhill running in the early postoperation phase, but according to this study, it has no effect on 12-month in vivo kinematics. In order to study the Dalian Metro section 202(Cujin Road station-Chunguang Street station, which is shallowly buried and covered with plain fill)’s ground surface settlement, the monitoring measuring station was built during the construction. After 3 months’ measuring by precision level,the data shows that the maximum point is in the center line of the tunnel of the upper part. The settlement is about 25.66-31.82mm. This paper put forward the concept of the distance span ratio β, β effective value range was - 4 <β< 4,Surface subsidence is closely related with β, Severe surface subsidence stage is -2 <β< 2, Occupy whole deformation is 67.5-77.6%,settlement rate about 0.84-0.93mm/d, so should strengthen the monitoring frequency, Suggest increases site tour. Field test results and the ground surface settlement calculation model winkle are identical with each other; the monitoring results have important guiding significance and reference for Dalian subway and the similar shallow depth excavation tunnel construction.
