Delignification rates of spruce wood chips and wood-meal have been investigated under carefully controlled conditions at temperatures ranging from 100° to 140 °C. The rates are shown to be in only approximate agreement with the monomolecular law, but the change in the rate of delignification with temperature obeys the equation of Arrhenius.

In this paper, 60% ethanol was used as solvent to extract polyphenol from infructescence ofPlatycarya Strobilacea Sieb.et Zucc(IPSSZ), and the mass transfer kinetics of polyphenol at different temperature was investigated. According to Fick’s second law of diffusion, the kinetic equation forIPSSZ.extraction process was established with plate model, and the parameters, such asK(rate constant),Ea(activation energy) were gained. The results can provide the valuable theory basis for the technical design and further research of total polyphenol extraction process.
