In this paper, granular copper films (GCFs) were prepared through electrodeposition in CuSO4 solution containing triethanolamine, and the films were used as electro-Fenton-like cathodes for degradation of methyl orange (MO). The effects of triethanolamine concentration, pH value, current intensity and temperature on the morphology of the films, as well as the MO decolorization ratio (DR), were investigated in detail. Results show that when the concentration of triethanolamine is 0.2 wt%, the prepared GCF exhibits the best performance. Under room temperature and neutral conditions, no external O2 or catalyst, MO is completely decolorized after 240 min. Compared with the commonly used carbon cathode, the GCF cathode can increase the MO decolorization rate by approximately 70.9%. The kinetics of the electrochemical degradation reaction is also discussed.

This paper adopted electrochemistry anodic oxidation method for preparing TiO2nanotube array membrane on a pure titanium sheet. The results showed that TiO2nanotube arrays were regularly obtained when anodizing voltage at 25V, anodizing time in 60min , NH4F concentration at 0.25mol·L-1, and volume ratio of glycerol and water at 2:1. Using of this titanium dioxide nanotube array photocatalyst, and Under light of ultraviolet lamp, the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange solution was studied in this paper. The main factors affecting the test selection was: the concentration of methyl orange solution (5mg·L-1, 10mg·L-1, 15mg·L-1, 25mg·L-1, 35mg·L-1), pH of methyl orange solution (2.0,2.5,3.0,3.5, 4.0,5.0,5.5,6.0), catalytic time (30min.60min, 90min, 120min, 150min, 180min, 240min), UV light source (6w, 11w, 15w).

Background: The study focuses on the synthesis of chitosan/ Fe2O3 nanocomposite, its characterization and application in methyl orange dye degradation. Methods: The synthesized chitosan/ Fe2O3 nanocomposite was characterized with Powder X-Ray Diffraction, Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and UV-Vis Spectroscopy. Results: The characterization showed that the Fe2O3nanoparticles were embedded in the polymer matrix of chitosan. The size of the Fe2O3nanoparticles were less than 10nm and the crystallite size was 1.22 nm.The synthesized chitosan/ Fe2O3nanocomposite was tested for methyl orange degradation using different parameters such as effect of contact time, effect of dose, effect of concentration and effect of pH for the degradation of methyl orange dye in aqueous solution.The Fruendlich, Langmuir and Temkin isotherm studies were also conducted for adsoption of methyl orange on Chitosan/ Fe2O3nanocomposite. Conclusion: The study indicated that the synthesized chitosan/Fe2O3 nanocomposite had the potential of degrading methyl orange dye up to 75.04% under the set condition in this experiment which indicate that Chitosan/ Fe2O3 nanocomposite is a viable option that can be used for the degradation of methyl orange dye.
