Smart Cities (or Cities 2.0) are an evolution in citizen habitation. In such cities, transport commuting is changing rapidly with the proliferation of contemporary vehicular technology. New models of vehicle ride sharing systems are changing the way citizens commute in their daily movement schedule. The use of a private vehicle per single passenger transportation is no longer viable in sustainable Smart Cities (SC) because of the vehicles’ resource allocation and urban pollution. The current research on car ride sharing systems is widely expanding in a range of contemporary technologies, however, without covering a multidisciplinary approach. In this paper, the focus is on performing a multidisciplinary research on car riding systems taking into consideration personalized user mobility behavior by providing next destination prediction as well as a recommender system based on riders’ personalized information. Specifically, it proposes a predictive vehicle ride sharing system for commuting, which has impact on the SC green ecosystem. The adopted system also provides a recommendation to citizens to select the persons they would like to commute with. An Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled weighted pattern matching model is used to assess user movement behavior in SC and provide the best predicted recommendation list of commuting users. Citizens are then able to engage a current trip to next destination with the more suitable user provided by the list. An experimented is conducted with real data from the municipality of New Philadelphia, in SC of Athens, Greece, to implement the proposed system and observe certain user movement behavior. The results are promising for the incorporation of the adopted system to other SCs.

Learning representations for feature interactions to model user behaviors is critical for recommendation system and click-trough rate (CTR) predictions. Recent advances in this area are empowered by deep learning methods which could learn sophisticated feature interactions and achieve the state-of-the-art result in an end-to-end manner. These approaches require large number of training parameters integrated with the low-level representations, and thus are memory and computational inefficient. In this paper, we propose a new model named “LorentzFM” that can learn feature interactions embedded in a hyperbolic space in which the violation of triangle inequality for Lorentz distances is available. To this end, the learned representation is benefited by the peculiar geometric properties of hyperbolic triangles, and result in a significant reduction in the number of parameters (20% to 80%) because all the top deep learning layers are not required. With such a lightweight architecture, LorentzFM achieves comparable and even materially better results than the deep learning methods such as DeepFM, xDeepFM and Deep & Cross in both recommendation and CTR prediction tasks.

It is evident that the need for personalized product recommendation is much needed these days. Generally, product recommender systems are implemented in web servers that make use of data, implicitly obtained as results of the collection of Web browsing patterns of the users. Here, the project's motive is to provide location-based agricultural product recommendation system using a novel KNN algorithm by ensuring effective communication and transparency in agriculture trade marketing among buyers and sellers (farmers). It helps the farmer to fix up the market price by preventing the rue pricing of their products. The farmer can post their products into the application with price and other details like a timestamp of harvesting, color, size, the absence of pest, freshness, ripeness etc. Based on the location, the distance between the seller and buyer is calculated using great circle distance. An improved Novel KNN algorithm is used to find the K Nearest Seller by calculating the distance between the sellers and buyer using a Euclidean distance metric. The details posted by the farmers and buyers are stored and updated in a database dynamically. The recommender system recommends nearest sellers and their agricultural products based on buyer interest. The performance of the system is analyzed in terms of accuracy and mean absolute error.

Nowadays, to deal with the increasing data of users and items and better mine the potential relationship between the data, the model used by the recommendation system has become more and more complex. In this case, how to ensure the prediction accuracy and operation speed of the recommendation system has become an urgent problem. Deep neural network is a good solution to the problem of accuracy, we can use more network layers, more advanced feature cross way to improve the utilization of data. However, when the accuracy is guaranteed, little attention is paid to the speed problem. We can only pursue better machine efficiency, and we do not pay enough attention to the speed efficiency of the model itself. Some models with advantages in speed, such as PNN, are slightly inferior in accuracy. In this paper, the Gate Attention Factorization Machine (GAFM) model based on the double factors of accuracy and speed is proposed, and the structure of gate is used to control the speed and accuracy. Extensive experiments have been conducted on data sets in various application scenarios, and the results show that the GAFM model is better than the existing factorization machines in both speed and accuracy.

In recent years, with the development of brain science and biomedical engineering, as well as the rapid development of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal analysis methods, using EEG signals to monitor human health has become a very popular research field. The innovation of this paper is to analyze the EEG signal for the first time by building a depth factorization machine model, so that on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of user interaction, we can use EEG data to predict the binomial state of eyes (open eyes and closed eyes). The significance of the research is that we can diagnose the fatigue and the health of the human body by detecting the state of eyes for a long time. On the basis of this inference, the proposed method can make a further useful auxiliary support for improving the accuracy of the recommendation system recommendation results. In this paper, we first extract the features of EEG data by wavelet transform technology and then build a depth factorization machine model (FM+LSTM) which combines factorization machine (FM) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in parallel. Through the test of real data set, the proposed model gets more efficient prediction results than other classifier models. In addition, the model proposed in this paper is suitable not only for the determination of eye features but also for the acquisition of interactive features (user fatigue) in the recommendation system. The conclusion obtained in this paper will be an important factor in the determination of user preferences in the recommendation system, which will be used in the analysis of interactive features by the graph neural network in the future work.

In the era of big data, the amount of Internet data is growing explosively. How to quickly obtain valuable information from massive data has become a challenging task. To effectively solve the problems faced by recommendation technology, such as data sparsity, scalability, and real-time recommendation, a personalized recommendation algorithm for e-commerce based on Hadoop is designed aiming at the problems in collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm. Hadoop cloud computing platform has powerful computing and storage capabilities, which are used to improve the collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm based on project, and establish a comprehensive evaluation system. The effectiveness of the proposed personalized recommendation algorithm is further verified through the analysis and comparison with some traditional collaborative filtering algorithms. The experimental results show that the e-commerce system based on cloud computing technology effectively improves the support of various recommendation algorithms in the system environment; the algorithm has good scalability and recommendation efficiency in the distributed cluster, and the recommendation accuracy is also improved, which can improve the sparsity, scalability and real-time problems in e-commerce personalized recommendation. This study greatly improves the recommendation performance of e-commerce, effectively solves the shortcomings of the current recommendation algorithm, and further promotes the personalized development of e-commerce.
