The aim of this paper is to present a multiple-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) framework based on a new single-valued neutrosophic linguistic (SVNL) distance measure. By unifying the idea of the weighted average and ordered weighted averaging into a single-valued neutrosophic linguistic distance, we first developed a new SVNL weighted distance measure, namely a SVNL combined and weighted distance (SVNLCWD) measure. The focal characteristics of the devised SVNLCWD are its ability to combine both the decision-makers’ attitudes toward the importance, as well as the weights, of the arguments. Various desirable properties and families of the developed SVNLCWD were contemplated. Moreover, a MAGDM approach based on the SVNLCWD was formulated. Lastly, a real numerical example concerning a low-carbon supplier selection problem was used to describe the superiority and feasibility of the developed approach.

Simplified neutrosophic set (SNS) is a popular tool in modelling potential, imprecise, and uncertain information within complex environments. In this paper, a method based on the integrated weighted distance measure and entropy weight is proposed for handling SNS multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems. To this end, the simplified neutrosophic (SN) integrated weighted distance (SVNIWD) measure is first developed for overcoming the limitations of the existing methods. Afterward, the proposed SNIWD’s several properties and particular status are studied. Moreover, a flexible and useful MAGDM approach that combines the strengths of the SNIWD and the SNS is proposed, wherein the SN entropy measure is applied to calculate the unknown weight information regarding attributes. Finally, a numerical case of investment evaluation and subsequent comparative analysis are conducted to prove the superiority of the proposed framework.

This paper investigates multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) with hesitant fuzzy preference information, which is a significantly import issue to be deeply studied in management and industrial engineering. Firstly, simultaneously considering optimistic and pessimistic attitudinal preference information, an improved distance measure for hesitant fuzzy set is defined. Then, utilizing the newly defined distance measure, a hesitant fuzzy multiple attribute group decision making approach based on TOPSIS method is constructed, which can effectively avoid high complexity of aggregating hesitant fuzzy information in traditional methods. Further, an application study on parts supplier selection has verified the practically and effectiveness of developed methods.

AbstractThe linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy sets (LPFSs), which employ linguistic terms to express membership and non-membership degrees, can effectively deal with decision makers’ complicated evaluation values in the process of multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM). To improve the ability of LPFSs in depicting fuzzy information, this paper generalized LPFSs to cubic LPFSs (CLPFSs) and studied CLPFSs-based MAGDM method. First, the definition, operational rules, comparison method and distance measure of CLPFSs are investigated. The CLPFSs fully adsorb the advantages of LPFSs and cubic fuzzy sets and hence they are suitable and flexible to depict attribute values in fuzzy and complicated decision-making environments. Second, based on the extension of power Hamy mean operator in CLPFSs, the cubic linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy power average operator, the cubic linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy power Hamy mean operator as well as their weighted forms were introduced. These aggregation operators can effectively and comprehensively aggregate attribute values in MAGDM problems. Besides, some important properties of these operators were studied. Finally, we presented a new MAGDM method based on CLPFSs and their aggregation operators. Illustrative examples and comparative analysis are provided to show the effectiveness and advantages of our proposed decision-making method.

Linguistic Neutrosophic Numbers

In this article, the gained and lost dominance score (GLDS) method is extended into the 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic environment, which also combined the power aggregation operator with the evaluation information to deal with the multi-attribute group decision-making problem. Since the power aggregation operator can eliminate the effects of extreme evaluating data from some experts with prejudice, this paper further proposes the 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers power-weighted average operator and 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers power-weighted geometric operator to aggregate the decision makers’ evaluation. Moreover, a model based on the score function and distance measure of 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers (2TLNNs) is developed to get the criteria weights. Combing the GLDS method with 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers and developing a 2TLNN-GLDS method for multiple attribute group decision making, it can express complex fuzzy information more conveniently in a qualitative environment and also consider the dominance relations between alternatives which can get more effective results in real decision-making problems. Finally, an applicable example of selecting the optimal low-carbon logistics park site is given. The comparing results show that the proposed method outperforms the other existing methods, as it can get more reasonable results than others and it is more convenient and effective to express uncertain information in solving realistic decision-making problems.

Abstract In this article, we shall introduce a novel technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS)-based methodology to resolve multicriteria group decision-making problems within picture fuzzy environment, where the weights information of both the decision makers (DMs) and criteria are completely unknown. First, we briefly review the definition of picture fuzzy sets (PFS), score function and accuracy function of PFRSs and their basic operational laws. In addition, defined the generalized distance measure for PFRSs based on picture fuzzy rough entropy measure to compute the unknown weights information. Secondly, the picture fuzzy information based decision-making technique for multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) is established and all computing steps are simply depicted. In our presented model, it's more accuracy and effective for considering the conflicting attributes. Finally, an illustrative example with robot selection is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed picture fuzzy decision support approaches, together with comparison results discussion, proving that its results are feasible and credible.

In this article, to synthesize the merits of interaction operational laws (IOLs), rough numbers (RNs), power average (PA) and Heronian mean (HM), a new notion of T-spherical fuzzy rough numbers (T-SFRNs) is first introduced to describe the intention of group experts accurately and take the interaction between individual experts into account with complete and symmetric information. The distance measure and ordering rules of T-SFRNs are proposed, and the IOLs of T-SFRNs are extended. Next, the PA and HM are combined based on the IOLs of T-SFRNs, and the T-Spherical fuzzy rough interaction power Heronian mean operator and its weighted form are proposed. These aggregation operators can accurately express both individual and group uncertainty using T-SFRNs, capture the interaction among membership degree, abstinence degree and non-membership degree of T-SFRNs by employing IOLs, ensure the overall balance of variable values by the PA in the process of information fusion, and realize the interrelationship between attribute variables by the HM. Several properties and special cases of these aggregation operators are further presented and discussed. Subsequently, a new approach for dealing with T-spherical fuzzy multiple attribute group decision-making problems based on proposed aggregation operator is developed. Lastly, in order to validate the feasibility and reasonableness of the proposed approach, a numerical example is presented, and the superiorities of the proposed method are illustrated by describing a sensitivity analysis and a comparative analysis.
