With rapid development of renewable generator, Application of storage plays important role in improving energy efficiency. At first different kinds requirement of storage is analysed with detail case in paper. The trend of storage for future is Prospect. Then demand of new energy for power system is analysed and calculated. A decomposition model for Energy storage for renewable power generation is established. Some suggestion will be given for energy storage for GuangDong power gird co.Ltd.

This work develops an underfrequency preventive control strategy for an islanded power system with a high penetration of wind power generation. First, the preventive control strategy uses the frequency nadir forecasting module to analyze the frequency stability under largest diesel generator tripping (N-1) contingency events. If predicted frequency nadir is too low, four frequency support methods are then analyzed and used for preventing potential frequency stability problem. They include generator rescheduling (GR), the use of battery energy storage system (BESS), direct load control (DLC) and emergency demand response program (EDRP). In terms of the GR method, the optimal diesel generator dispatch is obtained, with sufficient frequency stability and minimal fuel cost and start-up cost. In the BESS method, the optimal instantaneous power output from BESS is obtained based on its frequency support capability. With the DLC or EDRP method, the optimal contract-based load-shedding or the load-reduction to provide frequency support is obtained, respectively. Then, the operating costs of each method to support frequency are analyzed. The research methods and simulation results are very useful to the low-frequency protection of actual power systems with high renewable power generation. This work proposed a complete defense strategy in a microgrid system. It combines GR, BESS, DLC and EDRP. Therefore, the system operators have many options to implement their defense strategies, based on the operating costs of various methods. In other words, the proposed defense strategy provides a more flexible solution for the protection of micro grids with a high renewable power penetration. Therefore, the solution considers the system safety and economical aspects.

 Nowadays, renewable power generation has transformed to an important substitute to conventional power generation and severe the energy crisis of present-days. Apace thriving manufacturing division is swelling day by day and their energy marketability is also advancing. The potential of renewable energy is inclining every year, so the integration pace of renewable power in the system has inclined. However, influenced by meteorological and environmental terms and conditions the efficiency of renewable power generation often switches randomly, which disturbs the balance of power and voltage tenacity of power system. Also power precent is a giant contributor in green house gas emissions. United nation 17 sustainable development goals encourage enhancing the capability of power generation by utilizing industrial revolution 4.0 features. Industrial revolution 4.0 main factors are eco friendly and free gas emissions energy. Due to the renewable energy regulation introduced by the government under Alternative Energy Development Board to generate electricity from natural resources rather than fossil fuel. In this frame work industrial revolution 4.0 facilitate for extensive integration of renewable power into the network which is a massive task for power system operators and also for renewable energy farms to dispatch the power and taking critical actions. Industrial revolution 4.0 provides different pillars to overcome these issues likewise interoperability connects machine, objects and humans through internet of things to make smart grids. Uncertainty is the biggest challenge in renewable energy which can’t be eliminated but it can be manageable by virtualization. Through cyber physical system, computational proficiency and physical assets are interconnected for transformation advancement in the system, smart decision acquire to form a reliable and accurate data.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are recognized as promising options, not only for the decarbonization of urban areas and greening of the transportation sector, but also for increasing power system flexibility through demand-side management. Large-scale uncoordinated charging of EVs can impose negative impacts on the existing power system infrastructure regarding stability and security of power system operation. One solution to the severe grid overload issues derived from high penetration of EVs is to integrate local renewable power generation units as distributed generation units to the power system or to the charging infrastructure. To reduce the uncertainties associated with renewable power generation and load as well as to improve the process of tracking Pareto front in each time sequence, a predictive double-layer optimal power flow based on support vector regression and one-step prediction is presented in this study. The results demonstrate that, through the proposed control approach, the rate of battery degradation is reduced by lowering the number of cycles in which EVs contribute to the services that can be offered to the grid via EVs. Moreover, vehicle to grid services are found to be profitable for electricity providers but not for plug-in electric vehicle owners, with the existing battery technology and its normal degradation.
