Abstract This paper adopts a probabilistic fuzzy analytic network process (PROFUZANP) approach in developing a sustainable manufacturing strategy. In this hybrid method, analytic network process handles the complexity of the problem structure under consideration, fuzzy set theory is used to describe vagueness in individual decision-making and probability theory is used to handle randomness in group decision-making. This holistic methodological approach addresses complexity and uncertainty both in individual and group decision-making which is useful in modeling group decisions such as developing a sustainable manufacturing strategy. In this work, an inclusive approach of integrating traditional manufacturing strategy concepts and sustainable manufacturing principles is proposed as a unifying decision model. The proposed decision structure adopts the hierarchical structure of manufacturing strategy and explores the presence of strategic responses and stakeholders’ interests as significant components of sustainability. Using PROFUZANP, the decision model identifies the content policies of sustainable manufacturing strategy. This content strategy is expected to address both competitiveness and sustainability of manufacturing firms. Results are reported in this paper along with insights and future work. The contribution of this work is the integration of manufacturing strategy and sustainability into a coherent decision framework that requires the use of PROFUZANP in dealing with complex and uncertain group decision-making problem.

The aim of this applied research is to focus on real-life application of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methods and their adaptation in a way which can be acceptable for business practice. The study will apply the group decision making methods on a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a type of performance measurement and strategic decision making. The study is mainly concerned with multiple criteria decomposition method of analytic network process (ANP) method, WINGS technique and entropy. This group of methods had been already applied in several business domains. However, majority of the implementation was only presented as an example how it could work in practice, but they were not investigated from the perspective of how much information they could provide to the management. In this paper, proposed methods will be used to determine which criteria are most important for the company within the Balanced Scorecard and results of all methods will be compared. The aim of this study is, by utilizing group MADM approach, to discover the areas of the BSC which must be improved so that a total performance increases.

Higher Education is a level of education after High School which selects new students based on achievement, report cards, and tests. Admission selection was based on report cards. Number of indicators and who register make it difficult for determine which students are accepted in education. Multi criteria Group Decision Making (MCGDM) is decision-making method to determine best alternative from a number of alternatives based on certain criteria. In this study, MCGDM used is Analytic Network Process (ANP) and Elimination and Choice Expression Reality (ELECTRE). ANP model is a development of AHP and requires linkages between criteria using a network. ELECTRE is method based concept of ranking through pairwise comparisons between alternatives on the appropriate criteria. Contribution is integration ANP and ELECTRE methods based on group, by determining decisions based on consistency ratio. The results of testing level consistency ratio, group-based ANP-ELECTRE can be applied to assessment selection at Electrical Engineering with highest accuracy of 86.36%.
