Interconnected MoS2 nanosheets were grown on Ti foil via a self-supported TiO2 bonding interface to preferentially expose the active edge sites.
The excellent performance of hydrothermally synthesized MoS2 few layer nanosheets as a Li-ion battery anode material is demonstrated.
The morphologies and structures can be controlled by adjusting the solvent and sulfur source although an organic–inorganic precursor was not used.
