The purpose of the study is to prepare reversible thermochromic materials with good discoloration properties, which are used as fillers to prepare a new type of reversible thermochromic ink. Reversible thermochromic materials were prepared by solid phase method with crystal violet lactone as chromogenic agent, boric acid as chromogenic agent and hexadecanol as cosolvent, and reversible thermochromic ink was prepared by using thermochromic material as filler. The scanning electron microscope images of reversible thermochromic materials showed that the prepared materials were spherical and had the advantages of non-adhesion. The printability of reversible thermochromic ink was discussed by changing the parameters including content of thermochromic material, printing pressure, ink sequence and using printability tester. The test of color change performance of thermochromic ink showed that the color change temperature range was 47.5–51.1 ◦ C, the color change time was 46 s, the recolor time was 29 s, and the stability was excellent. The reversible thermochromic ink has a certain application value in anti-counterfeiting printing.

This paper studies the influence of Double (L- diethyl tartrate) boric acid ester (compatibilizer B) on the compatibility between PPO and PA66. Through the mechanical properties, Molau experiment, scanning electron microscope and tem analysis test method, it is proved that Double (L- diethyl tartrate) boric acid ester can be used as a new reactive compatibilizer in PPO/PA66 plastic alloy.

In this work we study the luminescence properties of europium-doped titanium dioxide and tellurium oxide thin films enhanced by gold plasmonic nanostructures. We propose a new type of plasmon structure with an ultrathin dielectric film between plasmonic platform and luminescent material. Plasmonic platforms were manufactured through thermal annealing of the gold thin film. Thermal dewetting of gold film results in spherical gold nanostructures with average dimensions of 50 nm. Both, luminescent TiO2:Eu and TeO2:Eu films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering from mosaic targets. The morphology of the gold nanostructures was investigated by SEM and TEM, while the composition of oxides film was analyzed by XPS. Luminescence properties were studied on the basis of excitation and emission spectra. The experiments show that the additional dielectric layer enhances the luminescence intensity. Such structures could be potential candidates as phosphors in white LEDs.

In this paper, Y2O3:Eu3+ nano-phosphor was synthesized through the facile solid-state method and influence of H3BO3 addition to the prepared Y2O3:Eu3+ powder was investigated. The consumption of boric acid resulted in the formation of YBO3 by changing the crystal structure from cubic to hexagonal. Noteworthy, through the use of specific quantities of H3BO3 (medium amount), Y3BO6 impurity with the monoclinic crystal structure and the space group C2/m was formed. FESEM observations showed that the addition of H3BO3 leads to the coarsening of the synthesized particles; changing from approximately 80 nm to 1 ?m. Also, it was concluded that the transformation of the crystal structure causes a dramatic change of phosphor emission colours from reddish to orange.
