: Carbohydrazides and their Schiff bases are important class of heterocycles that are not only employed in the area of organic chemistry, but also have tremendous applications in physical and inorganic chemistry. A series of potential bioactive compounds, containing carbohydrazide functionality and their hydrazone derivatives have been synthesized and screened for antibacterial, anticancer, antifungal and anti-inflammatory etc. This brief review discloses some synthetic route to so many reported carbohydrazides, their Schiff bases, their biological activities and their structure activity relationship.

Chiral compounds have played an important role in the development of coordination chemistry. Unlike organic chemistry, where mechanistic rules allowed the establishment of absolute configurations for numerous compounds once a single absolute determination had been made, coordination compounds are more complex. This article discusses the development of crystallographic methods and the interplay with coordination chemistry. Most importantly, the development of the Flack parameter is identified as providing a routine method for determining the absolute configuration of coordination compounds.

: The enhanced applications of Schiff bases metal complexes of amino acid derivatives have captured the attention of researchers for the synthesis of leucine derivatives of Schiff bases metal complexes. Amino acids are considered to be essential part of food supplements as well as derivatives of Schiff bases in coordination chemistry due to their donor ability. The leucine derivatives Schiff bases ligand have been synthesized by condensation reaction between amine of leucine with aldehyde or ketone bearing molecules attached with them. These complexes were characterized by different spectroscopic tools in order to confirm their structural geometries. The structural geometries are considered to be very important in order to improve the antimicrobial potential of leucine derivative metal complexes. By taking into account the antimicrobial potential of titled compounds, a comprehensive review of leucine derivatives of Schiff bases metal complexes has been compiled.

Organometallic compounds are defined as containing at least one metal-carbon bond between an organic molecule, ion, or radical and a metal. Organometallic nomenclature therefore usually combines the nomenclature of organic chemisty and that of coordination chemistry. Provisional rules outlining nomenclature for such compounds are found both in Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry, 1979 and in Nomenclature of Inorganic Chemistry, 1990This document describes the nomenclature for organometallic compounds of the transition elements, that is compounds with metal-carbon single bonds, metal-carbon multiple bonds as well as complexes with unsaturated molecules (metal-p-complexes).Organometallic compounds are considered to be produced by addition reactions and so they are named on an addition principle. The name therefore is built around the central metal atom name. Organic ligand names are derived according to the rules of organic chemistry with appropriate endings to indicate the different bonding modes. To designate the points of attachment of ligands in more complicated structures, the h, k, and m-notations are used.
