An efficient stereoselective synthesis of 2,6-disubstituted-4-thiocyanatotetrahydropyrans has been developed through a one pot three-component reaction of aldehydes, trimethyl allylsilane and NH4SCN in the presence of BF3.Et2O at room temperature.
