Pulmonary embolism is a major cause of death during pregnancy or the puerperium. The hemostatic changes in pregnancy creates a prothrombotic milieu. Hyperemesis gravidarum  is one of the recognised risk factors for venous tromboembolism. Two cases of maternal mortality were attributed to  PE associated with severe hyperemesis gravidarum in 2014 in Turkey. These two cases have been reported and discussed in the literature review. We aimed to alert clinicians that thromboprophylaxis should be considered when a pregnant woman suffers vomiting leading to clinical evidence of dehydration.

Literature reports of placental mosaicism, including trisomy 22, were analyzed. The chance of correlation of placental aneuploidy with fetus aneuploidy, also the probability of complications in pregnancy and fetal growth restriction and postnatal patients growth in the cases of confined placental mosaicism, were demonstrated. The case of prenatal diagnosis of confined placental mosaicism of trisomy 22 with favorable outcome is presented. The necessity of cytogenic assay of amniocytes and fetal lymphocytes in the case of placental heteroploidy diagnosis was emphasized.

Reticular erythematous mucinosis (REM) was first described 50 years ago, but only around 100 case reports in English have been published. Its relation with other inflammatory skin disorders is still being debated. We report a case of REM, including the clinical and histopathological findings. Also, a systematic review of 94 English-language reported cases is provided. The described criteria for clinical and histopathological diagnosis are highlighted in order to REM can be confidently diagnosed.
