Thyroid cancer is the most frequent endocrine neoplasm in the general population. Common risk factors include gender, radiation exposure, and genetic backgrounds. The association of papillary thyroid cancer and celiac disease has frequently been reported in the literature; however, the association of papillary thyroid cancer and thalassemia trait is rare. Likewise, the association of thalassemia major and celiac disease is also rare. We hereby report a unique case of papillary thyroid cancer in a patient with celiac disease and thalassemia trait.

Submitral aneurysms are rare clinical entities occurring predominantly in young adults of African descent. A host of etiologies have been proposed for this entity. We present a unique case of submitral aneurysm which developed after pulmonary artery banding in a three-year-old girl with complex congenital heart disease. The aneurysmal sac was burrowing into the interatrial septum.

A 22-year-old woman who presented with a tumour of the upper eyelid with clinical, histological, immunohistochemical and ultrastructural features of a Merkel cell carcinoma is reported. This is a unique case of Merkel cell carcinoma in such a young patient. This neuroendocrine tumour is typically found in the elderly. It can grow rapidly, has the potential for local recurrence and early metastatic spread. The authors recommend wide resection of the primary site, which proved effective in this case.

Neurologic sequalae of Noonan syndrome have been postulated in the literature. A topic of significance is the role of RASopathy in the shared pathophysiology of Noonan Syndrome and Chiari I malformation. In this unique case report, we present a patient with concomitant Noonan Syndrome and Chiari I with 4th ventricular outflow obstruction. The case highlights the importance of close clinical suspicion in this patient population. We utilize the case to delve into intricacies of the known pathophysiology and encourage ongoing investigation. Keywords: Noonan syndrome; Chiari I malformation; RASopathy.
