A case of clinically localized prostate cancer is resected using robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy. Routine prostate screening guidelines using PSA and alternative treatment options (including traditional surgical approaches) as well as additional considerations of robotic-assisted procedures including cost and conflicts with current medical education are discussed.
