Grafts of cleaving tubal ova from non-inbred mice to ectopic sites usually result in growths composed of extra-embryonic but not embryonic tissues (Fawcett, Wisloki & Waldo, 1947; Fawcett, 1950; Jones, 1951; Whitten 1958; Kirby, 1960, 1962a; Billington, 1965; and others). Runner (1947) grafted tubal mouse ova to the anterior chamber of the eye and one developed the three primary germ layers and then regressed, probably because the host and donor were histo-incompatible. This is the only report of an ectopically grafted pre-uterine egg that developed intra-embryonic derivatives. Kirby (1962b, 1965) grafted oviducal segmenting mouse eggs to the kidney and obtained only trophoblast and extra-embryonic membranes. He concluded that a ‘uterine factor’ is necessary for the development of intra-embryonic structures from mouse eggs. Kirby (1965) and Billington (1965) grafted morulae and blastocysts to the testis, and the morulae never gave rise to embryonic shield derivatives.

From the literature and the results of some preliminary experiments by the author (Kirby, 1960), it appeared that the ability of mouse eggs to develop into embryos in an extra-uterine site was at least partially dependent on the stage of the egg when transplanted. In most previous studies on the extra-uterine development of mouse eggs only tubal eggs have been transplanted. Fawcett, Wislocki, & Waldo (1947) transferred 8–10-cell-stage eggs to the anterior chamber of the eye, 3 or 4 eggs being injected in each case. In another series of experiments reported in the same paper the oviducts were transected, thereby causing the descending eggs to pass into the abdominal cavity. Fawcett (1950) transplanted 2–10-cell-stage eggs to a position beneath the kidney capsule, and, to compensate for possible loss, several eggs were usually introduced. Jones 1951) transplanted 2–10-cell-stage eggs to the eye and beneath the kidney capsule.

Iris pigment epithelial (IPE) cysts are a subset of iris cysts that arise from the IPE. They are spontaneously erupting epithelial-lined cavities that are found in various anatomic locations of the iris, including the iris pupillary margin, midzone, periphery, and free floating in the vitreous or anterior chamber. We report the case of an asymptomatic 13-year-old boy with an incidental finding of a dislodged anterior chamber cyst diagnosed on routine examination. Modern multimodal image analysis of the cyst including anterior segment optical coherence tomography and ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) was utilized to characterize the microstructural anatomy of the lesion. The patient was managed conservatively without complications. Cysts of the IPE typically do not affect vision or ocular health and can be monitored and observed after ascertaining no associated malignancy. Initial diagnostic investigation can include UBM and anterior segment optical coherence tomography. Intervention should be reserved only for cases where the cyst growth leads to obstruction of the visual axis and/or other secondary complications.

Актуальность. Фактор некроза опухоли(TNF-α) является провоспалительным цитокином, продуцирующимся макрофагами и многими другими клетками. Данные о вариации концентрацииTNF-α во влаге передней камеры глаза у лиц, не имеющих выраженных воспалительных и аутоиммунных процессов практически единичны. Цель. Исследование диапазона вариации фактора некроза опухоли альфа во влаге передней камеры глаза у пациентов с возрастной катарактой. Материал и методы. Отобраны и обследованы 33 пациента, в возрасте от 47 до 82 лет, госпитализированных для плановой экстракции катаракты не имеющих выраженных сопутствующих воспалительных заболеваний (аутоиммунных, острых инфекционных болезней, обострением хронических заболеваний, глаукомы, перенесенного увеита и др.). Влага передней камеры забиралась при вскрытии передней камеры глаза во время факоэмульсификации катаракты. Исследование TNF-αпроводилось с помощью иммуноферментны хтест-систем, разработанных при участии сотрудников кафедры клинической иммунологии, аллергологии и эндокринологии ГОО ВПО «ДонНМУ им.М. Горького». Вышеуказанные тест-системы характеризует высокая чувствительность (0,5 пикограмм в миллилитре) и хорошая воспроизводимость. Результаты. При исследовании уровня TNF-αво влаге передней камеры глаза у пациентов с возрастной катарактой, мы выявили колебания данного показателя от 0 до 2,49 пкг/мл. Следует отметить, что полученные нами результаты показывают небольшую вариацию (в пределах низких значений) данного провоспалительного цитокина в исследованной жидкости у пациентов в возрасте от 47 до80 лет, не имеющих выраженной воспалительной(аутоиммунной и др.) патологии. Выводы. Показана низкая вариация TNF-α во влаге передней камеры глаза у пациентов с возрастной катарактой (у обследуемых исключена сопутствующая выраженная воспалительная патология). Результаты можно также использовать как контрольные при проведении сравнительныхисследований этого цитокина в данной среде у лицс различными заболеваниями глаза.

   Twenty Iraqi ducks hearts ( 10 male and 10 female ) have been  used for   demonstration  and illustration of heart's valves  and chambers  as well as  anatomical   and morphological site of view to explain what modifications had been take place for ducks heart  to perform  his normal life at the  circumstances  of  high  blood  pressure  and  pulse  rate. The heart  which has distinctly pointed  apex  was  built   in simple  manner located  in a transparent  taught  heart  pericardial  sac. It   was pyramidal in shape  externally  and  has a longitudinal  salcus  passing  to the  right  side, the  anterior of  the   heart  is  divided  into two  unequal  anterior  chamber  similar  to  those of mammalian  hear  .The heart valves are modified  in  order to  minimize  the  fraction  that occur as a result of  high  blood  pressure  and  pulse  rate  of  the  duck  heart , also  the  muscular  trabeculae   replace  the  chordate  tendineae  , which  were  present in the  mammalian    heart  in order to  minimize  the  fraction  resulting  from high  pulse  rate..
